Joyrock you are literally giving up on a company because they are having issues in the first week of a MAJOR title launch.


Games have hit the market a LOT less prepared than diablo 3 and with a LOT more collateral damage done to the customers. And knowing blizzard you can bet that all of these problems will become a fading memory in virtually no time.

No, I'm not giving up because things have gone wrong.

I'm giving up because Blizzard refuses to acknowledge they made mistakes, and are throwing around blame against innocent players, punishing them by forcing them to use one of their only rollbacks for an in-house issue, and completely denying the issue exists.

When I get hacked from an in game exploit, that's bad enough. I should not then be insulted, punished, and given a half-assed solution(they didn't even do the rollback right - rather than going to where I got compromised(because I stopped playing soon as I found out) they rolled it back several hours - I was just in front of the Butcher nightmare, now I'm back almost to the beginning of act 1.

Welp, after all the debacles going on with this game I'm pretty much done with Blizzard. Amazing game, but their horrible customer service is slowly killing any and all interest I have in playing it.

Also, on the note of people from pub games hacking you - I found someone named xxxbbb9 on my recent games list that has one hour and one minute played, with a level 1 wizard to show for it.

I've played with two people from B8, that's it, but not with the character that got hacked. The characters I DID play are absolutely fine. I haven't done anything stupid, haven't gone to any suspicious websites or given out my login ID.

Changed my password, probably getting an authenticator, put in a support ticket.

Giving it a second chance. Last time I was not thrilled with Gardens of the Moon and hated Deadhouse Gates.

I'm just finishing Gardens of the Moon and I honestly don't know what the hell I was thinking. It's slow, but so much political intrigue(although admittedly I may have gotten to like this more lately) with lots of foreshadowing towards the future of the series.

My ONLY gripe is the characters aren't well developed, but it's not a big one because it's early in the series and it's only just introducing them(plus not all fantasy can be Game of Thrones).

I am starting my review right now. I have several complaints about some fundamental flaws in game design as well as execution, but I don't know I think people who want amazing items as they level (note: there are legendary items along the way if you want to go rare item hunting) to be silly. Like if you love to level that's great, get some orange gear and have a blast =P

I'd love to see any of these fundamental flaws.

So apparently, Diablo III is the ONLY game Bliz has that requires a constant Battle.Net connection, as opposed to a constant internet connection(which is all WoW and Starcraft II require).

If they fix this, they will be so much closer to having acceptable stability.

I wouldn't mind playing some multiplayer when it's possible, I seem to be one of the few wizards around. I'm surprised, I really enjoy the class.

I've been generally frustrated over the last year, more than I would like to think is normal for me.

Part of it has been some legitimate falling out with close friends - I don't really have anymore close friendships right now, and I get incredibly frustrated with people that drop responses constantly. I'm finding I prefer time away from people, a first for me, and I'm starting to doubt my whole career direction which has always been driven by wanting to deal with the public and help people daily.

I've been struggling to find interest in other things. It's really common for me to be enjoying games, music, books, TV shows, whatever, and just suddenly start losing the drive to continue. I have more half finished books and games than ever because fewer and fewer things can hold my interest, and I just get frustrated and abandon them. I'll be listening to bands on a playlist, bands I normally completely love, and suddenly their music feels wrong to me. Hell, I've had times where everything I hear just frustrates me - nothing about it, just hearing people talking, music playing, TV going, etc etc puts me in a foul mood.

I haven't been able to seriously play my guitar for awhile now - I've never been a greatly steady player, and even when I enjoy practicing I have to force myself to pick it up and go on, I really have no drive to do anything with it.

My moods fluctuate all over the place with little to no cause that I can determine - sometimes I absolutely love dealing with people and am perfectly fine with putting up with things that annoy me, sometimes I want to throttle them(and I try very hard to remain completely respectful but am not always successful).

I'm frustrated with trying to find a point to anything - I can find very little that seems to have substance in my life anymore. I feel like I don't have any close relationships with people, and very little holding me here. I'm assuming this is not normal but I honestly have no clue, I'm just generally frustrated.

I'd think it would work just fine if you regulate it the same they do massage clinics - regular health code inspections, mandatory condom usage, regular health records.

Gay marriage provides equal benifits and rights to everyone while harming nobody. By that merit alone, it's not even something that should be put to vote, it should just automatically be legal.

Pot is less harmful than either alcohol or tobacco, and the only significant downsides to it would be solved by legalizing it - would remove a lot of street crime, free up police time, provide a new source of taxation, and allow it to be regulated.

The same goes for Prostitution. The only reason it's illegal is because it's a dangerous profession, and the only reason it's dangerous is because it's illegal - if it was legalized, it could be regulated and taxed, new jobs could be formed, it could be a much healthier profession, and would free up much needed police power.

DotA 1's only problems are that it looks like ass (by today's standards) and has some engine/interface woes.
Dota 2 fixes all of those problems and adds TONS of flavor.

Pretty much this. DotA 1 is incredibly hard to get into.

DotA 2 is incredibly easy to get into.

You know very well that I don't hate consoles tbqh. I mean, I have a good chunk of B8 on my PS3, which I play regularly. They still have fighting games and several awesome exclusives.

Weird sounds, crashes so damn often, or just doesn't run at all on my new computer.

Pretty much all problems have a fix, but even working partially puts the PC ad a massive advantage to any console.

Factually better control system - you may like controllers more because that is what you are used to, but Mouse + Keyboard gives you far more control and possibility.

Far more games available - since you don't have to worry about "lol backwards compatibility", you have a much larger selection of games available, and it's very rare for something you have to become obsolete or unplayable because you upgraded.

More and better sales - You aren't limited to retail stores and the corporation controlled online stores, so you get lots of big names like Steam, Amazon, and GoG.com for cheap and downloadable games, but also lots of little things like the Humble Bundle.

Less prone to failure and less expensive to replace - There aren't common issues like the Red Ring, and when they DO fail and aren't covered by warranty, they are much simpler and less costly to replace.

Less expensive overall - Considering only a few parts are actually contributing to making it a gaming PC, they are typically less expensive, especially when you consider that many of those parts are hardware that is more advanced than what you'll find in consoles.

More customization - Mods make the games last so much longer. Maps and custom content from the player and even custom game modes are far more common on PC than on consoles.

More potential - you get far more out of a gaming PC than you ever will out of a console, and typically on a longer lifespan.
