1. Fallout: New Vegas
2. Deus Ex: Human Revolution
3. Fallout 3
4. Bioshock
5. Call of Duty 4
6. Borderlands

Not that big on multiplayer shooters, and I don't have a PS3/Gaming quality PC, so my list is pretty limited. There's some other stuff that I enjoyed a little bit, but not really enough to put on a list (Battlefield 3, Fear.)

I definitely wouldn't call FO3/NV or Deus Ex FPS' (Borderlands is kind of iffy too but I guess I can see it). Unless we're using the barebones definition of FPS.

Anyway, TF2 and HL2+Episodes are great answers here.

Fallout/NV I'll give you, maybe Deus Ex(there are other options besides shooting, but strictly going that route opens up so many problems in what is and isn't considered an FPS) but Borderlands is absolutely one, or at the least an FPS/RPG hybrid.

See, this is far, far from a complete list and still contains a good deal of games for the generation, with plenty of variety.

i should get around to playing bioshock one day

i also have that game based on a vin diesel movie and its sequel that i hear are pretty cool

I haven't really heard that many good things about the Riddick sequel. The original was certainly cool, though!

Dark Athena was awesome. Not as good as the first one, but it also contains an updated version of the first one with it, so yay that.

Nope. There is no such thing as a "just" response to what he did, but trying to help a deranged man is better than just one more dead body tbqh.

You honestly believe such a man can be "helped"? You think someone should be rewared with free food, a roof over their head, and someone to keep them company?

Cluture difference perhaps. Killing him may not solve much, but one has to wonder why this man deserves to continue living when he's taken so many lives...

Maybe he can, maybe not. Killing him doesn't fix anything, trying to help him is the far better solution.

In all states that allow concealed carry, the only people with the nuts to risk getting their heads blown off are people in Mexican drug cartels, and they're all funded by America anyway (source: Operation Fast and Furious, go read it).

So yeah, try doing some research before opening your mouth next time. You might avoid thoroughly embarrassing yourself. Guns are the people's liberty teeth, and Norway not putting that guy to death is a complete joke. No matter how you feel about gun control, anyone who shoots up 70 people gets put to death in any country of relevance.

So, I've been getting a BSOD for a bit, and memtest confirmed it was bad memory. I finally got to replace them today, but still got a BSOD after a couple hours.

I learned that bad memory can corrupt windows files, so went to do a repair install.

Upon loading the windows CD I got another BSOD, only it didn't look normal, only a couple lines.

I rebooted, and now the PC loads but nothing goes to the monitor. I can't get it to the BIOS, or to reinstalling windows. It acts odd on boot as well - will start, turn off then start again a few times before starting for good.

I have no idea what the issue is - I had absolutely no issues before other than the memory issues.

btw joyrock how long did it take them to give you the rollback on your account? It feels like this is taking foreeeever ;_;

Edit: But the irony is that since I only lost a handful of gems and 300k gold if I had just ignored the fact that I lost anything and spent the entire night playing anyways I'd end up further ahead than when my account gets fixed...

I'd find at least as many gems as I lost, and better ones at that.

and I'd still be out the 300k gold that was stolen but now I'm also out all the gold that I *didn't* make from not playing all night. Not sure how much I would have made, might not qutie have covered it or might have more than covered it counting the gear I'd pick up. And I'm out the XP too...

Took me about 24 hours to get it, and they didn't even do it right :/

That sounds like a lot of baseless rumour mongering to me though.

Since you didn't respond to the authenticator question, I assume you don't have one. If you even sneeze near a website that has a keylogger on it, with no authenticator that's probably what happened. It has happened to me tons of times in WoW and it's the same thing here.

Except there was no keylogger. I keep fairly constant scans on my computer, not to mention that up until about a month ago - whenever the open beta was - I had never done anything with Battle.Net on this PC. On top of that, there was no instance of an unusual log on - Blizz is pretty damn good about getting on top of that.

Joyrock, do you have an authenticator?

But Joyrock said he didn't even join public games.
