Glad I ain't the only one in thinking WW's dungeons were weak. That and overall lack of challenge were its low points. I actually thinking sailing was among the best part of the game, if not the best, at least on the Wii U version. There is something very liberating about it.

These things and the sailing taking too long is way I think Wind Waker is medicore

DMC5 did have the factor of "holy shit this game isn't DmC tier and actually good" and the Pull My Devil Trigger memes

Meanwhile Tropical Freeze was well-liked but just seen as an upgrade(?)/more of the same as Donkey Kong Country Returns

That said still went with Tropical Freeze buts till think it's a 50/50 ish myslef.

What makes Fortnite better than other battle royales, @NowItsAngeTime ?

Haven't played too many other battle royales but I think Fortnite is just by far the easiest to get into and play casually, especially as someone who sucks at shooting games in general. I don't hoard the bazillions of emotes but and skins but I have a few I like, and the constant rotating mods is nice. It just also has a nice mix of weapons that I like to use, has a cartoony style that makes it bright and nice enough to look at.

Realm Royale had a cool class system but ultimately just had too much thinking for me. PUBG had too many menus to navigate. Was kinda interested in Apex and the CoD one but never picked em up.

At this point Fortnite is oddly a relaxing game for me since I can just mess around and just get some kills here and there through cheeky methods since I know I'm not a good shooter or builder.

It's still not a game I'd play by myself part of why I like it cuz I have friends who enjoy it.

MGS4 is still one of the best games ever made. One of the greatest emotional roller coasters I have experienced in a video game. Shame everyone has jumped on the hate bandwagon now.

To go for an actual attempt at an explanation...

So online play has some kind of an clock to track frame count. As long as a players online clocks are aligned an online game could theoretically be flawless, but obviously theres things to worry about like persons internet quality, distance, etc

Delay is the old school method. When the clocks dont match up the game will stop until everyone is on the same page. Thats why online games with delay will show the frames of delay, its a prediction of how often the game will have to stop to wait for players input but it can easily be wrong. Once delay gets to like 7+ frames thats why it can take forever to feel like your button presses take forever to come out (if they do)

So rollback, when done correctly, is a way for the game to predict the actions of both players then auto correct itself quickly once the clocks are aligned. Unlike delay where you can feel the lag of your buttons not coming out, you can press buttons and they'll be consistently responsive. The main thing is what you see your opponent doing. If rollback is done well (Skullgirls, Killer Instinct) there might be very slight corrections on the opponents animations or position on screen but otherwise should feel seamless. However when done terribly (Street Fighter V) one person will both see input delay AND the opppnent will suddenly "teleport" to a completely different action and position cuz the engine did a terrible job predicting and autocorrecting what the opponent was doing.

So tldr rollback when done well is seamless and much harder to tell theres lag/distance. However, rollback done poorly is arguably worse than delay AND unlike delay needs to be built ahead of time to deal with clock based stuff of engine. Japanese have been using delay since that was the old school method thats been working and you know Japanese and old school...

Based on the outcomes of previous topics, I'm pretty good with numbers but bad at predicting the big overarching changes that happen behind-the-scenes between contests

From what I see having a mix of knowledge of stats of previous polls, plus knowing what the general gaming opinions/trends change to over time in the hardcore game scene, and then little bits of randomness like potential rallies/SFF/coin flip close matches is what you need to do well in a contest

Going purely off one or two factors may have you do well but not really well

So i was searching Google for older contests and many times people will call other people to vote for a game, like for example Final Fantasy sub-reddit will make a call for its fans to come here and vote for it, is this legit? We are doing GameFaqs opinion on Game of the Decade, if people can call other people to come here and vote doesn't that invalidate the whole point of the contest which is to figure out which game is GameFaqs users Choice of "Game of Decade"
Sounds weird to me, not to mention the voting is probably gonna be rigged by multiple IP voting since its a public contest and anyone can vote.
Personally i think it should be Users above Level 15 can only vote, to avoid alts and multiple-ip abuse. But nevermind im in it for the fun, the results are probably going to be rigged, but its will still be a fun time.

Gatekeeping to that degree will just make the contest have 0 fun
