Yeah the Sanic reference made me throw a big WUT

Overall I actually quite liked it!

It felt like a mix of Sonic X (with a much more likable human than Chris) and pre-Sonic 1 origin movie

Sonics personality felt like it was straight out of Sonic Adventure: Cheesy and fun with surprising depth

I expected the overall vibe to be similar to Detective Pikachu and Id say it was with a Sonic flair obviously. Not a particularly unique plot or anything but nice enough to get the job done.

I also liked the references to old games. There were also other... Surprising references Fortnite

I know a buncha people liked Jim Carey as Robotnik/Eggman but it didnt feel like it captured Eggmans original personality well. But like Sonic, it was basically Robotniks origin story too so Ill forgive it for now till a sequel

Speaking of sequels, I screamed in joy mid credits

The comedy was solid and it had enough references to feel legit but enough original stuff to stand on its own

Side characters were mostly likable too

Overall Im glad to see more video game movie adaptations do well

I really want the sequel after seeing the mid credits scene

Corrik at some level realizes the way he acts gets people upset, so if he goes the route of slightly playing up his personality he knows he'll get proper reactions

ertyu clearly knows people see him as a joke/meme so he plays certain parts of himself. That said, his misspellings that he continues until now are either a sign of taking a joke too far or just being exceptionally lazy

I think BIGPUN is supposed to not be simpler and thats a charm point or something

SBAllen seems to take the games contests a lot more seriously than the character ones (especially if he takes the whole ratings, reviews thing into account for seeding)

He probably wants to make sure the auto search database is nice and secure before making it public. Sometimes there's missing / wrong games.

People are (big surprise) just currently overreacting to Beyleth being in over anyone else and being another FE character in Smash

After he/she comes out and more DLC comes out no one will care that Beyleth "stole" a spot people will just be crying about the newest revealed character

I think Byleth topic should have waited at least a month or 2 after actually being released in Smash

Right now voters will be biased towards the current reaction that changes every 2-4 weeks

Thats what makes it so, so good. The worst fanbase in all of fandom is Smash Bros. I would legitimately rather hang out with the most militant of feminists.

And I dont mean the casual Smash fans. Theyre fine. I mean the losers who think cheering should be banned. The losers who death threat children for playing the wrong character. The losers who beg for housing, wet the bed, and then bail without ever offering to buy a new mattress. The losers who want cheering banned, but after any win think its okay to scream right in someones face because people want to see you popping off. The losers who throw crabs at tournament winners because they dont like that players style. The losers who actually start crying if youre in a group setting and put items on. The losers who forced a tournament winner to apologize because EVO had items on. The losers who think Brawl Meta Knight is more broken than SF2 Akuma because their esteemed community says so. The losers who harassed a woman off of social media and into a huge depression because she beat one of their esteemed pros. I could go on for days. Those people completely ruined the entire spirit of why Smash was designed in the first place.

My biggest gaming regret, and frankly one of my biggest regrets period, was siding with those freaks after Brawl came out. Guys like Leon and Nick were right the whole time.

Oh, and I have non-spiteful reasons for loving Byleth as well. I adore 3 Houses, and Im happy to see a rep get in. Its nice that shes more than a swordie, too.

Am I the only one who's finding that only 10 slots is really putting the pinch on my selections? Like, there's the big juggernauts that are natural supports for either me or others, the mid-tier games that deserve recognition and hopefully not a terrible seeding, and smaller games that I'd like to try to help squeeze into the bracket...but I definitely can't support all of these groups.

Probably cuz we are used to 15 nominations

I think Allen just like every other games contest hes done

Really wants to emphasize actual best games so people have less reason to just put 'itd be cool if this were in" noms vs the ones they think are actually the best ever of this decade
