If 25% of us are married/dating, with 1 child on average, we'd have 900 humans to start from. Studies say you need 50 couples and 500 total individuals to prevent inbreeding, so we'd comfortably reach those boundaries. From a logistics standpoint of, could we get enough people together... I still think we could pull it off, at least in North America. It was hugely influential in proving that every theater in the world needed to be able to play 3D films and that they could make serious money (which they did for the next few years) and is the reason action movies were still being put out in 3D right up until COVID killed the industry. But that's because it gives more weight to the insane, way-too-long 162 game season. When we're not even playing half of that, I like expanding the field and creating the possibility of the team playing the best October baseball winning the World Series, even though they were only a .500 team through 60 games.
