Speed Devils for the Dreamcast was pretty alright. I played it as a kid and loved it. I dunno if it holds up today though. The main hook is the gambling/vendetta system, where you form rivalries with other racers in your league and bet on your races on whether you will win or not. You can lose your car this way.

you can buy new cars and customise them but you dont have to customise them. You miss out on stat bonuses if you dont

I cant remember if theres much to the story other than raising through the leagues and becoming the #1 ranked racer

Not saying its bad or anything, Its just preferences

Performance upgrades or buying parts or customizing your cars hoods etc etc

Just a simple straight up racing games with a mission

Buying a new car is fine as a feature

An example would be NFS the run or hot persuit

Just because you can't buy your exact car at the moment for $3000 doesn't mean it's not worth $3000

If it's worth more, look into how to get the correct value of the vehicle from the insurance company

So yes, thats what am asking, if the correct value of my car is 3000, so I am getting 3000 plus I need to pay the extra cost of my own money on the damage that I did not do?

Look up the blue book value for your car. That is what the insurance payout should be if your car is considered not worth repairing because the value is lower than repair costs.

So youre saying if the bluebook for example says its valued at 3k

Heres the short story, I have an old 2003 sports car, works really good, no damage, got a really good deal with it for 3k, i love it.

One day

A company own truck rear ended me, no injury or anything serious, except it created a damage that got estimated to at least 10k, spoke to the owner and he said because the repair is more than the car, the only option is a write off, so he said he is going to buy that car from me for 3k

So my question

So is that how the system works now for people with old car? Do you have to have an injury to claim more? Seems like the insurance I talk to also agree to the situation

So let me guess, I will have no car and have money that wont be enough to buy another decent car and the company whos at fault just walks away?
