This case does a lot of great stuff. Turned a character I hated into one I love (Datz), cool murder, very classic AA feel. Unfortunately, I noticed in the first day how much focus they gave on the difference between the Steel Samurai theme and the Plumed Punisher theme, and knew that was going to be a major plot point. I was frantically poking at the divination the last trial day to try to hear the song to reveal it was the wrong one, and the hours of time passing with the predicted twist hanging over the case absolutely ruined the day for me --- List the ominous stern whisper from the delphic cave within: They enslave their children's children who make compromise with sin |

The only way that happens is if the first murder victim is Payne, or if Maya has to channel Payne so he can argue against Phoenix with terrible logic from beyond the grave.Have Nahyuta show up shortly after Payne is introduced to show him utter contempt and kick him off the case, so at least one person in the country recognizes he's trash.
