It may have been poorly cooked. It's very sensitive to overcooking and turns quite rubbery if you get it wrong, which is unpleasant.

That said, even perfectly cooked stuff is still a little rubbery compared to most other foods, so it might also just have been not your thing. It might be worth trying again, but it also might not.

I assume it was terrible quality, it was at my old job at a cheap ass banquet hall and it was served for hors d'oeuvres, after the party was done with that I tried some of the leftovers, at that point it had been sitting in a warmer for a few hours.

I still don't like seafood in general though

So many great, realistic characters. Such a real world pace, no rushing it. It also subverted expectations in a realistic way like Nick, the hero chosen by God, dies due to real world senseless violence, sometimes people die out of nowhere, not everyone is going to live to see old age, even the hero, he won't even live to see the climax, and his replacement, also chosen by god? Breaks his leg climbing a hill.

It was such a great, sometimes depressing, sometimes inspiring, story and really tapped into the LotR feel, like he attempted to do.

First time I ever ate calamari was at a sushi buffet. They had the shrimp and the squid right next to each other, but the labels were not lined up with the products. And it was breaded and fried calamari, which looks a lot like fried shrimp. So I grabbed a bunch of it. As soon as I took a bite I could tell it wasn't shrimp because the texture was all wrong. I'd never had squid before and I'd always thought, "Eeeew! Squid!" but it was actually delicious!

The modding has been worse recently after getting way more lenient. I've only gotten a handful of 0/3kl moderations over the last couple years, then got back to back warnings based off few day old posts that really weren't offensive at all.

I once tried a bean burger or some shit like that and it was solid, I feel like if I went in thinking of it on its own instead of comparing it to a real burger that I would have enjoyed it more.
