that was overwhelming. probably saw like 50 acronyms i didnt recognize today. still pretty hazy on what Im going to actually be doing lol

i dont really wanna say what it is, not because its embarrassing or anything, i just dont really want to give out where i work for personal security reasons. its a government office job is all Im gonna say.

kinda nervous about tomorrow, i feel like Im gonna get thrown the flames and feel

Honestly, you should ask as many questions as possible. Don't be afraid to ask questions. No employer is going to expect you to know everything on your second day. What they will like though, is someone who takes initiative and seems interested in actually learning what they're supposed to do for their job

Congratulations on your gaining a new calling. Refine your skill, refine your language, and keep playing. You'll get used to the jargon, because there's too many we have to either change to a different one or a new one. I've worked with a medical staff before I was into English.

Honestly the thing that irks me the most is when one of my reports doesn't ask questions when they don't know something and just spins their wheels or, worse, assumes the answer and is way off base.

Color me unsurprised that a government job lacks proper training.

Nope. I make all the beer and keep the restaurant portion running. I know it's hard for the perpetually unemployable to understand.

i feel so out of the loop on most of this stuff that Im really unsure WHAT to even ask. like Im asking a bunch of questions and Im getting answers that confuse me even more. idk, i think i might be severely under qualified for this. i just dont have any experience with any of this stuff or even this TYPE of job. everyone is moving so fast. Ive only been there 2.5 days so Im not gonna act like ill never get it but it is very intimidating and overwhelming at the moment.

thanks dawg, i really hope it starts clicking with me soon. Im gonna be FUCKED if i cant figure it out. Im trying so hard to get it and Im just not at all yet. but again its literally only been 2.5 days so far. I cant expect to figure it all out right away. I was expecting it to be a challenge but not this much.

this is also fucking bullshit and you know it! We all know where you work and its not a brewery! You dont make any beer there! You just fill peoples glasses! I bet you dont even clean your lines and all the beer has an off taste to it!!

im actually feeling a bit more comfortable in my position today. feel like Ive made a lot of progress learning stuff! still kinda unsure of A LOT but i think Ill get this totally down in a month or two.

fairly easy job actually, just a lot of specific procedures and steps to follow.

also the sexual harassment tracing cracked me up (not because i find SH funny at all) because the asshole/creepy dude in the videos is the actor that played the dad in even stevens lmao

Don't be afraid to ask questions, it's better to ask questions when you are new then not know what you're doing after you get off of training
