MrGreenonion 02/13/21 6:07:26 PM #351	~~About Agnes:~~ The entire plot of episode 2 was about putting the idea of having kids in Wanda's head. Then, the entire plot of episode 5 was about the kids putting the idea of bringing back the dead in her head. In both episodes, Agnes is the main instigator of events (bringing Wanda to the fundraiser and being the first to mention kids, pushing them to keep the dog and then being the one to find it dead). It's all been orchestrated to bring Pietro in, and now that he's here he seems to be an antagonist. He claims that he doesn't remember anything between being killed by Ultron and Wanda calling him back, but he knows that Vision died. He doesn't question that Wanda created Westview even though he'd never seen her do anything close to that before. He dodges questions about their past and makes up stuff she doesn't remember. I don't know if he's a secret villain (a lot of people seem to think Mephisto will be in this show) or just a disruptive force to try and break her out of the illusion world, but it's all been about bringing him in and Agnes played a key role in that, with more apparent agency than anyone else in town.

The title sequence was based on Family Ties (the painting), Growing Pains (the pictures of each character growing up) and possibly Full House (running around the park). The house layout was based on Full House: front door on the left that steps down into the living room, staircase going up to the left, large windows behind the sofa, kitchen on the right. However the darker color scheme did remind me of Family Ties. For the 90s, I was hoping it would be based on Married With Children, and the more dysfunctional family dynamics would represent Wanda losing control of the TV world and Vision becoming more suspicious, but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. The most famous 90s domestic sitcom was probably Home Improvement so I expect at least a neighbor hidden behind a fence in the next era.

In ep2 we had a lot of talk about kids, including that weird "for the children" bit to put the idea of kids in Wanda's head, and by the end of the episode she's pregnant. Then, having had the kids, they put the idea of bringing someone back in her head via the whole dog scenario. Definitely feels like he's the next step in a plan, but to what end I have no idea. It might be Agnes. She seems to have more autonomy than the other residents especially in this episode, she wasn't ID-ed in ep4 like everyone else, and she instigated both the fundraiser and the dog episodes. And when Vision got through to Norm, he kept saying "she" was doing it, which we're meant to think means Wanda but could just as easily be her.

But whether that sticks who knows, it could be some multiversal glitch about him... but then again it's not like I'd be expecting FOX-Men Magneto to be joining this universe too so it wouldn't really matter and could just simply never be touched on again. ~~Quicksilver~~ could just be a random guy who's being made to play the role in the TV world. The casting may just be an easter egg for the audience and not of any plot significance. Arrowverse shows do that kind of thing all the time.

You have to start from the beginning every time so you have to get through the 6 Robot Masters before you can even try Yellow Devil. For me the bigger issue is that the game is just kinda broken in a few places. Like the helicopter platform enemies that appear in Ice Man and Wily 1 just straight up do not work correctly, and you can get patterns where you just can never jump to the next platform, or you'll sometimes fall through them and it's not always clear why. You can use the Magnet Beam to bypass them but that's the same level of "you have to cheat to get past it" as people say about Yellow Devil. Also Mega Man's movement isn't as tight in 1 as it is in 2-6, like it takes a little longer for him to start and stop moving in 1 compared to the others. If you're used to the later games and you try 1 for the first time, you'll end up accidentally walking into hazards occasionally because of this. --- BLM \| ACAB she/her

MrGreenonion 12/06/20 1:07:11 AM #26	I would say 5th NES, Wii, and Switch are my top 3, and it's basically a 3-way tie for #1 SNES is 4th, then GC at 5 Not sure which takes last among N64 and Wii U. They both had a relatively small number of great games, but the N64 also had a truckload of garbage while the Wii U just had a very small but very high-quality library. Wii U is set back a LOT by how almost everything of relevance was ported to 3DS and Switch, and I try not to count rereleases too heavily but Wii U is a really extreme case. --- BLM \| ACAB she/her
