While a good idea on the surface with well-intentions, it ended up poisoning this tournament. First with Pikabrat beating Mega Man, and then with Mario beating Samus. But when the disgusting porn rallies emerged, and Tifa beat Mega Man (speaking of which, Mega Man X aka Mega Man Again, needs to be retired), the paltry user bonus votes were nothing but smoke and mirrors.

In summation, Mega Man Again > Tifa, Mega Man > Pikapunk, and Samus > Mario second match.

Please adjust the leaderboard to accurately reflect these changes.

Mario v. Cloud is less entertaining than Samus v. Cloud.

He either is terrible at brackets and got lucky with that pick and messed up everywhere else, or hes lying.

Do you realize that if you correctly picked Zelda > Mario in your bracket, it is almost mathematically impossible for you to not be on the leaderboard, assuming you didnt egregiously foul up the rest of your bracket? You keep flaunting you called that match, but why arent you on the leaderboard then?

Me too! And at least youre not losing on flukes. Samus > Mario is pretty unbelievable, but not more than Zelda > Mario. Nobody saw that match even happening!

Im bitter because I would have won the entire thing if Mario beat Zelda. Because Samus would have bested Zelda, and Cloud. Before losing to Mario again.

People want Mario because it will salvage their pathetic brackets, since they picked Snake to win this match.

Its a real shame all the intelligent people who correctly picked Snakes early downfall arent going to be redeemed due to Zelda beating Mario. That flipped the entire bracket. Samus would have won her next two matches had it not been for Supreme Overlord Zelda. Now all the fools who picked Snake are rooting for Mario to win in order to offset the points lost.

Its the same thing for Mario and Luigi. You might think, who would ever vote Mario but not for Luigi? We know this mentality is wrong, per years of contests and results. And when these two go against each other, it isnt even close because practically all of the voters prefer one over the other. Aka SFF.

As far as non-series-shared-but-still-similar characters go (Cloud and Crono, any two non-N9 Smash characters, etc.), there is going to be overlap. Obviously not to the extent of regular SFF, but a non-negligible amount.

I understand that the extrapolated projections were spot-on for Crono, but Im saying you cant properly gauge him and Cloud from their match.

SFF only applies if the fanbases disproportionately favor one over the other. I mean most people who have played FF7 have played Super Mario Bros that doesn't mean Mario SFFs Cloud or vice versa.

Those are totally different series though. It wouldnt be surprising why people would prefer one over the other and that there would be dissenting votes.

Odds are, people voting played both games and just like Cloud slightly more.

Well what I mean is, theyre both the protagonists in their game, both from mainstream RPGs, developed by the same company, and have extremely similar artistic styles in their appearances.

The hard ones to precisely read are Snake and Cloud. Snake can, theoretically, still be able to beat Mario (I think its very unlikely but we cant be positive yet). Cloud only went against Crono (SFF) and Link (unfair). Though he did murk Alucard, so you would think hes still stronger than weaker.

Samus is going to destroy Cloud. If SFF didnt exist, shed get like 45% on Link. She might even beat 2013 Snake.

And as much as Id like to put Crono in the top five, hes simply not. Its too bad he went against Cloud because the SFF makes it murky.

People been hating on Sephiroth but if not for specifically going against Tifa, he wouldve beaten most of the non-Nintendos.

The only questionable person still is Cloud. Hes certainly weaker than the four Nintendos but he would have a good match against Snake.

The reality is Mario, Samus, and Zelda are interchangeable on any given day. Weve already seen Mario and Samus swap (assuming Samus wins today, which she will), and Zelda went from barely beating Snake (who got murked by Samus) to barely beating Mario (who barely beat Samus).

Im 12. I had Mario beating Zelda. I also had Samus making it all the way back to Mario before losing. I wouldve won the whole thing if that all planned out. I felt sick once Zelda beat Mario, but seeing Samus bearing him too makes me feel better.

I told everyone Crono would win. Im so smart.
