The Hero of Time will always prevail though. He offed the icon of Nintendo years ago (despite his attempts to cheat), he murked countless other N9 members back in his hayday, and he has withstood the test of time.

Durrr, he hasnt had a game in decades, of COURSE he is the weakest N9 member! Shut your mouth. His greatness will transcend time. Youre all lucky he isnt in Smash (yet), lest he would dethrone even Link.

Even though I am smarter than everyone, it looks like I am not finishing top five anymore. All I needed was Mario to make it to the finals in both brackets and I would have finished ahead of all the fools who had Snake > Mario. Damn Zelda!

Just checked the poll. I always knew Mario was going to win this match but I expected Zelda to hold a much larger lead than she currently has and for much longer than its looking like she will. Once again, Im ahead of the curve.

The primary leaderboard probably isn't changing much until Mega Man vs. Crono. Everything until then is going to be stuff that everyone gets right (like Samus today), or everyone gets wrong (like Snake today, who most would have picked Sonic or even Zelda).

What about Mario vs Zelda? You think anyone in the top 15 had Snake winning that match?

Most people have Snake winning Losers and losing in Legends Finals.

Aside from people admitting to vote-stuffing in the stats topics, I also consider her hentai rallies as cheating. And what I say, goes.

Namely Tifas because she cheated way back in her division semi-finals. Though in retrospect, Im not sure how much one can really complain because having Mega Man get four chances in this contest would be pretty disgusting, as well.

As for Pikachu, an already (underservedly) strong character with rally potential, needed to be eliminated sooner. It is criminal that the new voting mechanism caused it to win its first match in the big leagues, but thankfully it was put to rest the second time around. The only saving grace was that it got fed to Link before being relinquished.

And that leaves Zelda. Im all for characters gaining strength over the years, but wtf is this? She went from high mid-carder to potential number two. One can only hope she gets Nintendo-SFFd hard and loses to Samus or Mario or whoever she is going to face.

Today had fewer vote totals than the previous MM / Pika match. So much for that theory.

I am looking forward to this match more than any other remaining one. It shouldnt have any bracket implications but it has potential to be one of the closest N9 matches weve ever seen. Its been awhile since Crono has given us a classic nail biter.

Samus is too strong. I think Mario has a better change against Cloud TBH.

My point is, I dont think a significant amount of people are basing their votes on photos.

Im honestly not sold on the pictures making more than a .5% difference, which I guess is sometimes enough to flip a win.

She won the final several updates against him. But ~750 votes is a lot to Switch in just a few weeks. Will more people bracket-vote Mario, or will people go for the upset?

I think both of us ought to express our concerns to the administration if we're fortunate enough to survive till the end. Of course, it's too late to rerun anything at this point, but it should not happen again in future contests.

Several posters publicly bragged about vote stuffing for Tifa with multiple accounts and proxies, which is explicitly against the rules. Their posts were not moderated, and there's no sign the admins ever audited the final poll results.

Taking no action against this behavior will only encourage more cheating in future contests, especially when ever-larger prizes are at stake.

I agree. If you look at the people ahead of us, they all had Tifa winning the division. Thats a 12 point swing, and were still right up there with them!
