Itd be nicer if people were more honest about it, because it feels like were constantly failing/doing him wrong so if its normal for it to be this difficult it wouldve been good to know.

i feel like what happens is that within the full span of raising a child, lets say 18 years, only 1-2 years of that are pure chaos. the rest of it goes by. i feel like people just dont remember.

it does get better TC. well. kinda. my baby is 5 months old. he used to do the things you said, and doesn't for the most part now, but now his new thing is that he'll roll over in his sleep then cry because he can't turn back over. so we'll turn him back over, and he'll go to sleep, then do it all over again. tonight he did it 5 times before my wife said fuck it and just held him as he sleeps.

Might be subtle enough to just increase the failure rate. If I were you, Id try to map out where the defective units are coming from. If its all from one part of the building, it might be significant, but Im guessing there wont be a pattern.

Thats a tricky one so Ill go a bit outside the box. Are there any policies in place as to how often they should be charged? I know some schools ask students to plug their chrome books in every night regardless of battery level.

lol they're supposed to bring them charged everyday but kids never do. theres no policy on where they plug it in.

just the packaged charger and cable that came with the chromebook.

i get back at least 10 chromebooks a week because the usb-c port is toast.

i dont think its the charger because its centralized to one school, and no other schools we use these same chargers with have this problem.

its not the specific chromebook, anything with usb-c gets toasted. a lenovo think pad got toasted last week.
