| Mezcla 10/16/19 3:06:43 AM #1 | Cancer is a real thing, yes. But when I think cancer, I think of shit like genetic disorders and radiation. This cancer treatment shit all talks about stuff like dying or people literally dying or just general normal death that causes all these dying problems. I'll never forget a conversation I had with my uber driver a few months ago. He was born and raised in West Africa and he was saying how he's never heard about cancer so much until he came to America. "People in Africa are fighting hard to just survive. They don't have time to die from cancer." Maybe I'm being insensitive as hell and out-of-pocket but whatever happened to just being tough and sucking it up and trucking forward? I'd much rather preach that than preaching babying others that just can't handle the daily struggles of fucking dying from cancer. I'd rather preach being cancer-free cause I believe cancer free people are less prone to "having your organs shut down from the cancer". Like physical strength, a physically stronger person is less prone to succumbing to x amount of weight than someone weaker. And like physical strength, you tell them they have to become stronger to handle x amount of weight rather than just baby them. Am I just being an asshole for thinking this or what --- Sig |
