The invaders of Sodom rejected the daughters offered, which somehow is supposed to imply that they didnt like girls, or wanted the sons, or something.

Also there is a verse that it is an abomination for a man to lie with another man the way he lies with a woman, or something like that. But there is some controversy as to the actual translation and/or interpretation of the verse.

In the Sodom and Gomorra story it was not just that the men rejected Lot's daughters but that they knew the men were messengers of God and still wanted to have sexual relations with them. That is a true affront to God, as the angels are his sons.

The "men who lie with men" in the Old Testament has more to do with sexual relations. But I honestly can't remember what specifically.

It's also like the story of Onan in the OT that "spilled his seed on the ground" that many Christian religions use as a way to say masturbation is a sin. What the story was really about was Onan refusing to preform brother in law marriage and impregnate his brother's wife so that his brother's name would be carried on after his brother died. There is no explicit mention or condemnation of masturbation in the Bible.

Honestly wasnt the Sodom story also more about them forcefully attempting to have sex with the angels (i.e. rape) anyway? Its been a while since I actually read it myself but I remember thinking it was a real stretch to use that passage as proof the Bible is anti-LGBTQ.

Technically you are right. The entire reason for Jesus dying for mankind was that animal blood was not enough to cover the sins of man. So God sent his own son to sacrifice his life for mankind beginning a New Covenant between God, and not just his chosen people but all of mankind who is willing. Jesus brought up several times, arguing many times about abandoning the old laws and traditions because God had found a new way for mankind. Thus absolving his previous covenant with mankind.

The take away from the Old Testament is that even though the laws and traditions have changed there are still many principles set out by God for his people, like the Ten Commandments that still hold good moral ground. I don't think that there is many that would argue most of those commandments as good things to live by to this day. Many are actual laws in the US and many other countries.

naw the bible doesnt care much about rape
i mean lots daughters tried to rape him after they were spared death

and the punishment for being raped is to be stoned to death because god would have saved you if you didnt secretly want it

unless of course you are raped in a farm land. then the rape victim's father is owed money by the rapist and after he gets paid his daughter now belongs to the rapist

Well they did try to forcefully enter Lot's house even after he told them not to be wicked towards his guest, and refused his daughters which he offered them. The angels had to strike them with blindness so that Lot and his family could escape. So I am sure it wouldn't be a far stretch to imagine if they had gotten in they would have raped the angels in men's bodies.

https://wikiislam.net/wiki/Qur'an,_Hadith_and_Scholars:Homosexuality

Some examples not referencing Lot:
Narated By Abdullah ibn Abbas : If a man who is not married is seized committing sodomy, he will be stoned to death.

Sunan Abu Dawud 38:4448

Malik related to me that he asked Ibn Shihab about someone who committed sodomy. Ibn Shihab said, "He is to be stoned, whether or not he is muhsan."

Al-Muwatta 41:11

The crime of homosexuality is one of the greatest of crimes, the worst of sins and the most abhorrent of deeds, and Allaah punished those who did it in a way that He did not punish other nations. It is indicative of violation of the fitrah, total misguidance, weak intellect and lack of religious commitment, and it is a sign of doom and deprivation of the mercy of Allaah. We ask Allaah to keep us safe and sound.

Yo, as a life can be slowed down 20 frames per second
Seen through Panavision
The inner light inside my mind shines expands the prism
A man of wisdom, victorious and the glorious
Sight beyond sight we stand up as Divine Warriors
Who smite with the mighty right hand of God
Yield the holy sword, swings the holy rod
Then bathe in the pond of Nirvana, escape the realm of Karma
Allow the true grace of God to shine through my persona
And build the reconstructional terms that's constructive
As we destroy the negative germs that's destructive
Productively, sincerely, we uphold the righteous banner
With the gold touch of Midas, mold the righteous hammer
And anvil, to the sound of Man-drill
Ignite to the speed of light cause time to stand still
Rewrite the script of Egypt, who made the Holy Bible
Or Quran, how long ago, who made the Holy Title?
Of I Self Lord And Master, who control the vital
Parts of your heart, who wrote the wise recitals?
