How could Sean have survived this vote? There was a 0% chance. He at least went for a hail mary sob story, which almost worked. The only real option would've be an idol. Jeff (during his podcast) said that they were voting out Sifu there before Sean decided to quit. Unfortunately, it was followed by her worst moment where she decides to abandon the mission to apologize to Rinoa despite 100% in the right about what she said. And then she falls off the face of the planet, so she ends on an absolutely terrible moment and it soured me on her.
