I like that you can play Dx2 like a normal SMT game and not have to worry about the Gacha summoning aspects. It might take longer but just use demon fusion to get stronger demons like any SMT game.

kinda, but things like rarity/level limit will be a bit annoying.
and not only the demons, your characters level will be limited to lvl 30 until you clear the missions to raise the level cap.
and those missions are really hard.

Huh, I kinda sailed through the quests for Megakin and now he's good to go for level 50, but then he's one of the first you can do those quests for, so maybe it's *supposed* to be easy for him while the other Dx2 limit breaks will get harder as I go along.

Most of the limit break quests are easy. MC's quests are easily the most difficult, so you need a good support demon. Shionyan and Meat Ballon's are fairly hard but not too much of a challenge. My team is also not that great and I was able to do them all, it has 2 good demons and 2 filler demons. In terms of walls, I'm starting to hit the limit point (specifically Aura Gate 35-50) where my demon team just isn't good enough though.

I've been playing Dx2 (SMT) and am having tons of fun. Not really sure how it stacks up against other gatcha games aside from the really, really bad pull rates. But the upside to the low pull rates is that you can fuse almost any demon, so with patience you can more or less build the exact team you want.

Graces f was probably my favorite, maybe because it's just a bit more polished overall than Abyss. Abyss is amazing, and I played it both on ps2 and 3ds, but it just kind of feels a bit drawn out. I seem to like Berseria a lot less than most people but haven't finished the game yet. Symphonia seems cool but I only played it when I was at my friend's, so I never saw the whole game.

Really pumped for Vesperia: played like 10 minutes of it at a friend's house and it seemed to be super interesting from what I saw.

I wish I had the interest to replay all these games.

I could probably get a girl, even a nice looking girl despite being short and ugly. But you know why I dont? I have no energy to put on that fake facade of being the cool ugly dude who doesnt give a fuck. Women respond to that shit and I can fake it for just a little bit and if I applied myself and faked it longer, Im sure I could get a girl.

But I just dont have the energy to do that all the time. Im a very low energy person. Id rather just sit at home and watch tv or get on the Internet instead of putting any real effort into things.

Thats my problem. Im a low energy loser.

Oh shit. Personal topic wasn't even on my radar.

Life is too short to worry about the bolded. You gotta do what interest you and say fuck the odds or you end up sitting in a chair watching Netflix for the bulk of your day like me. Would you rather feel mediocre at something you're interested in or do something you have no passion for probably making you mediocre at best anyway? How old are you?

I'm 27, so it's not like I really have the benefit of time. I know the best advice in life is 'do what makes you happy as long as it's healthy', I guess my worry is just whether committing to 7-10 years of school is healthy at this point, or just me trying to pursue a vanity.

In terms of disbelieving free will, you mean?

We have done those types of experiments since the 60's. But I mean, I don't think it actually addresses the question.

I think, really, the important question to ask yourself is "what would the world need to look like for free will to be accepted?" I think this usually requires some nonmechanic mystical being, some form of dualism, to satisfy. Which means we can roughly assume that by the naive view of free will is incorrect. But that doesn't necessarily need to be the case.

There was an article recently in Trends in Neurosciences regarding this:
https://www.cell.com/trends/neurosciences/fulltext/S0166-2236(18)30155-3
(I think this may be free access, if you are interested and can't access it, let me know)

Granted, I didn't read it, but it may provide insight for those interested.

My views on free will are pretty mystical, I guess. Also I understand why you don't like engaging in word games

I don't think anything regarding the concept of "free will" is able to be falsified.

Idk, the whole concept is wonky to me. Even if I could perfectly predict your actions based on your brain activity, and perfectly manipulate them by virtue of manipulating your brain, why would it matter? You are your brain. If your brain is controlling you, you are controlling you. I tend to stray away from these conversations because nothing is really meaningful. It seems like we just go around in circles playing word games as opposed to any real important reasoning.

If I had a machine that could alter my brain states, and then my actions as a result, I would be pretty happy I guess.

There are different type of criteria for what is called "causality". But, they are all trying to get at the same concept, so I would say no, kinda.

It won't last. I dated a 31 year old when I was 24 and a 24 year old when I was 31. At 24 a lot of people are still just not ready for a lasting relationship. Especially when there is an age difference like that. I actually was at 31, she wasn't. At 24 she was at 31 and I wasn't. Both ended with the older person being upset. It seemed so good at first too.

31 is seriously that age where you are looking for something serious and if it works out great, but when it doesn't work suddenly you are old.

This is actually interesting.

Say you're 30 and get into a relationship with a 24 year old, and say it lasts about five years. Suddenly you've lost 5 years of the part of your life where you could be getting married to someone, and they don't really lose out because they only just go to that age. Not saying these relationships should be avoided, but I never really looked at it that way.
