I think the anti paydown hate plus the increased prevalence of KOs when both combined are too much.

One of the best games ever is a dumb, gamemaker based freeware action platformer made by a single dude with one of the worst, most self indulgent plots ever.

Final quest wasn't too bad once I absorbed the gimmick. If you have a way to stall her or tank her NP leaving Lalter alive helps a lot. I have Jeanne so yeah not too stressful to get her NP up every few turns

Once I did that l won first try with Jeanne Martha (Miracle debuff removal so useful for this event in general) Kojirou Medea Orion FriendJalter. Took 3 tries overall though.

Overall I dug this event just for the 7 boss fights. They all had really fun gimmicks and were reasonably difficult. Hope we start getting more events with some legit battles.

Unfortunately this seems like the hardest events in a while. You have setsubun to look forward to though! (FATIGUE)

The 3 turn setup I had was Kscope Arash who swaps out for spartacus (Can also be MLB Imaginary around if you put spartacus at max guts level and make sure he gets at least one arts card in the second wave) wave 1, dump all of support waver's skill on Joint Recital Chloe with maxed out Kiss demon, projection + her NP one shots the spriggan, any non-waver cards kills the other one.

Last wave, have maxed out white princess rose on spartacus, use his self charge (that puts him at 70%, swap out Waver for shakespeare with strengthening quest, charge Spartacus + buff him as much as possible. You don't quite kill Arjuna after the NP but any non-shakespeare followup should kill him.

Projection has to be leveled a little. I have spartacus's buster skill at 8 and I have double waver instead of waver-shakespeare and arjuna is usually left with less than 10k hp.

This is based off of a 3 turn farming guide on reddit that I can't find atm.

Bush basically got no political credit for PEPFAR, got negative press for bad but not fatally bad mistakes, and did this entirely unforced. Like, if he was the bottom of the list, I think doing the equivalent of preventing 11 Civil Wars, stopping half of the holocaust or preventing the Khmer Rouge from coming to be power in Cambodia 3 times w.r.t. lives saved. (Also, taking the worst case estimates of direct casualties + knock on deaths, PEPFAR saved about 7x the number of lives) should count for *something*.

It's not clear to me that many alternative presidents could do significantly better under the war on terror (and the iraq war was terrible, but a major international foreign intelligence failure was a contributor too).

Do people who dislike Bush consider PEPFAR when evaluating him?

I don't think people value learning the game as much as the game being fun kan.

Also @Sceptilesolar I cannot emphasize how time + soul consuming lottery farming is. Even if you think that the Christmas lottery is like 5x more valuable, the shortened farming time should factor heavily into your thinking about the relative efficacy of each event, especially in light of the gigantic apple infusion we just got.

Do you have any suggestions to reproduce the 'close match factor' without encouraging it, newbie? Because it's a pretty good fighting incentive in my mind, and making fights less psychologically draining on leaders can only be a good thing. Mercs shouldn't be so sanity-ravaging as it is now, after all.

Dumb heuristics do most of the work of smart heuristics.

Why not use some arbitrary ability power + battle worth metric that maps onto GP? e.g. if the total cooldown (or AP) is within 1 or whatever of each other we deem that to be very close, and if the total upkeep fielded (or quadratically summed upkeep) is close.

So 20 AP vs 20 AP would pay more than 0 AP vs 20 AP. And uh, using quadratically summed, doing five 1 upkeeps vs one 5 upkeep without abilities would be more like 20 upkeep advantage in favor of the 5 upkeeper (using the quadratically summed method).

I leave ability /battle worth conversions open.
