Nearly voted for Gen 4 just because I love the Gible line that much, but I went with 3 since I like the legendaries better and Flygon/Salamence/Altaria is a solid trio

6 and 9 are really good too. 8 has two superb Dragons in Dragapult and Flapple but those stupid fossils really drag it down

Most surprising thing to me is how many people rotate party members. I've never heard of that or even considered it, aside from like bringing someone in off the bench if you're struggling with a boss or something. I usually just take my favorite characters and make it work

Maybe I'll try it next time I play an RPG with more characters I like than party slots

now that were in an era of only portions of the dex making it into each game, those 6 monkeys could be cutting your two favorite 3 stage lines! Or your three favorite 2 stage lines!

I mean they haven't been in since XY which was before Dexit so they aren't causing any harm!

I almost never do this. Actually, it just happened in Persona 3 Reload, where I mostly used Yukari/Junpei/Akihiko (except a brief stint with Shinji :( and switching out Akihiko for Misturu near the end) and it felt weird, which is when I realized how unusual this is for me.

Persona 4 was the exact opposite, my final team was Kuma/Kanji/Naoto

Gen 3 and 5 have some of my all time favorites (Sharpedo and Bisharp) and others I really like but also have a few stinkers each

I went with Gen 2 because it doesn't have a single stinker. Houndoom and Tyranitar are my favorites, but the rest are all great too. Dark type hit the ground running

Also, to tie this into yesterday's poll, I feel like Ninjask would have been more interesting as Bug/Dark instead of yet another Bug/Flying

Im seeing a couple of the Ninja Turtles being mentioned, and, while they may meet the letter of the law here, I dont think they meet the spirit. If were being honest, we associate them with their mask colors more than their base body colors. Id be more likely to think of them in blue, red, purple, and orange categories than green. Just my two cents.
