In 3 you had to pick one style and stay with it until the next checkpoint/level, but then when you get to control Dante in 4 he feels fucking fantastic being able to use all 4 of the default one's from 3 plus the 5th you get during the game. 5 gave me a better game for DMC4 Dante which is the only reason I like 5 the most. --- |

I picked Hatchets and Tonfa at the start because they were new to me(I didn't play Odachi/Tonfa in Nioh 1's DLC), but I ended up mostly playing Fists. They're so damn fun, and iirc were the new weapon in the 2nd DLC so I wonder what my experience would've been like if I played the game earlier. Also the 2nd and 3rd DLC are way better than the 1st. Kinda makes me wanna go back to Nioh 1 and play the DLC on that one. --- |

The battle system was the best part and even that's really limited until you get control of the full party, which is like chapter 10(out of 13 iirc) or close to that. Also a much worse cast and plot imo, and I say all this as someone who at the very least enjoyed playing through the XIII trilogy. --- |

I still love the worst Dark Souls over most games though, and got every achievement/platinum in it just like the others. Zodd3224 posted... It's more inspired than DaS3. It at least tries to be its own game. It's not as technically good as DaS3, but at least it isn't just a Bloodborne with a DaS1 skin rehash like DaS3.I'll never understand why people hate Dark Souls 3 for being the sequel to Dark Souls 1 we never got. --- |
