The combat is good and all of your attacks have a great weight to them, plus throwing/recalling the axe is insanely satisfying. You have quite a big variety of moves at your disposal as well. Combat could feel a little clunky at times but for the most part was fun and engaging, and you unlock new moves at a pretty steady pace to keep it feeling fresh. A few fights in the game felt unfair, including one optional boss I had to cheese to beat. Lightsaber customization needs incentive to bother using, you can barely see the in-game model so making it purely aesthetic makes it feel pointless. Gimme little damage boosts or health boosts tied to each part at least. I liked that you could find cosmetics for the ship, Cal, and BD tho. --- The Legend is True! |

If you get the fast charge + bigger spin radius hammer upgrades you can do a ton of DPS just from charge attack spam The lower max health can be scary but if you're good enough with positioning you can heal up fairly quickly after getting hit. Giant_Aspirin posted... im surprised so many of you guys like the bow. its definitely my weakest weapon because i feel like it's just too slow for the pace of the game. i also struggle to do good damage with it. using Chiron my general approach is to put something on the special focused on # of hits rather than damage% -- so Dionysis or Zeus. then i put high damage% or Ares on attack. even with 6 shots / special and Epic Dion boon at level 2 or 3 i dont feel like my dps is very good. Bow has some pretty insane damage potential. Triple shot + Explosive shot hammer upgrades combined with aspect of Zag had me pretty much melting everything. Add on Poseidon attack boon and more crit damage from Artemis and it's just stupid how much damage it does. Alternative you can go with hidden aspect and load up on Zeus boons, the special fires so fast that the lightning bolt damage adds up insanely quick. Get the double bolt boon as well as jolted effects and what not and you're gonna laugh your way through the run. --- The Legend is True! |
