Im not really beating myself up normally. For me it's a rare day that I attack myself. I usually bottom out at apathetic. But I think it's became largely do to me realizing I can't live by other people's standards. It's good you could apply it in a stressful time. Just make sure that co-worker doesn't take advantage of your kindness. There's a balance between being the bigger person and not being completely used. If it's just a one time thing so far or a couple times every few months, I'd let it go. You never know what's really going on in their life either.
