More proof that these people have never ventured into actual comedy. Pretty much every white comedian these days have bits about how they love being white. The thing is, they acknowledge that it's because the world is so unbalanced in their favor. And these people have fans from all backgrounds. These comedians just want to be white and victims as a double tip into privilege. Plus it keeps the attention on them and people distracted.

Do what makes you happy, surround yourself with people that share the same values, and be open and kind to everyone. You do also have to take some small risks and accept some failure, but you use those as tools to learn from your mistakes.

I've focused on bettering myself for three years. Objectively I'm in a better spot in life now. Finally got my driver's license, got my first car, got a better job, saved up ~$32,000, went from a hermit who was terrified of people to being able to interact with them and very nearly give off the impression of a normal, well-adjusted human being. But all my time is spent at work or home, and nobody's just magically come into my life yet. I'm more with Lost_All_Senses on this one.

If you feel like you're able to take rejection than you pretty much have all you need. And Im not talking instant rejection.

I mean, say you had a really fun time with a girl and you're really digging how she carries herself. She might be in a on and off again relation where you find out you never really had a shot and were pretty much just something for her to do on an "off" moment. You gotta not let that stuff make you jaded. Cause no one immune to that disappointment. It's just how you recover from it. Don't want to be one those guys that gets a taste of quality attention and then can't cut the cord when it's taken away. Gotta try to just have fun with it and not fall into that too fast. Don't even really know if you want sex or a connection out of this, now that I think about it. I favor connections, so that's where my advice usually leads.

I just went to a concert Friday and the crown participation was so disappointing. No idea why. I was at the front of the Balcony so I had a birds eye view on crowd participation. I wasn't in a super social mood (thanks winter) and them being a shitty ass crowd made me feel anxiety for joining, wondering if Im just alone looking stupid. Cause though I could see all them down there. I couldn't see anyone that would be seeing me from behind me. I was in front of all them.

I took a small amount a week ago and my friend opened up about all his family problems, his mom had just died this year and he's got crazy resentment for the rest his family.

I know he wanted to take them with me just to be able to get it all off his chest. Cause it wasn't the 1st time we did that.

And they help me to not get anxiety when Im tip toeing around these conversations. Though Im just generally better at them these days anyway.

You definitely need the right people around you. But that's the same with drinking as well. The wrong people can destroy your life if you're drunk.

Yes I have. They made me insane. Some highlights...

A friend put on audio clips of an Indian dude making prank calls. I was convinced the voice was me and I made the calls from the dorm call box earlier even though I can't do a convincing Indian accent.

I had to talk myself out of attacking another friend who was high because he was grinning and flipping me off and I didn't know why.

I hid in the bathroom because I was convinced I had to puke and take a shit. 15 minutes later, I realized I didn't have to do either.

My arm hair looked like tiny snake monsters.

When I tried to go to sleep, I debated myself for an hour about whether or not to undo my belt and also turned the lights on and off many times because whenever they were on, I wanted them off and vice versa.

Those were not good times :(

Then you misused them. Don't be the angry mom that ruins it for everyone else due to a personal experience tho. People literally die from alcohol intake all the time. If you wanna pick out the people who don't control intake and make that the rule then ban everything.

Btw, you got a story out of it and you love it. So don't act like it wasn't a positive thing in the end.
