What if I just want to disappear off the face of the planet, living life as a nomad until my dying days?

That sounds magical. Nobody holding me back. Nothing tying me down to a normal life where you work yourself to death. Being truly free, and sure, homeless. But free.

As I understand it, faking your death is a lot harder than people give the concept credit for, as we leave a hell of a trail throughout our lives

I suppose if you were going to completely disappear and live off the grid, it'd be easier than just changing identities and living in a different country.

Oh yeah. Youd have to ditch cell phones or using a personal computer. Probably get a fake passport, which cant be easy.

See thats what I was thinking. Sure, if youre fleeing because you did something illegal then people will maybe track you down.

But just faking your death without any outstanding warrants? Whod really be looking?

Im confused. You fake your death when you ARE wanted. If you're not wanted, you just walk away. Granted, you don't give a shit about your family's reaction.

You can, you just can't come back all willy nilly. I doubt your debt is worth the manpower to find you if you're off the grid. You're one guy in a huge network of debt.

IRS will try to find you if you owe a bunch of taxes

Better go to a country with no extradition in case they find out somehow that you're still alive
