Random question are the ranked stats going to reset? And if so is it going to be soon? I assumed when season 1 ended (it's over, right?) there'd be some manner of reset but well, obviously it hasn't yet.

And as for why ignite is not a good spell on singed:

He's a tank. Ignite is best used on dps or burst characters to seal the deal. Singed can kill people but that's not really his main goal and taking away their healing is not really a great "gimp." You might as well just use exhaust if you're going that route-- though I guess exhaust kinda sucks now? *shrug

And yeah rushing Banshee's is fine too-- I usually get both but banshees can be first if the enemy has too much damn CC. I just kinda think using gold/5 junk that has mostly extraneous stats slows Singed down too much. His base stats are kinda weak early game so he needs good items early imhhho.

But yeah you can run down lanes and poison minion waves without a philostone. Just gotta remember to turn the poison off when you're "done" with it is what I meant. Singed shouldn't have mana problems if you rush Banshee's/RoA cause his pool is gonna be really high then, his moves don't have really high mana costs, and his ult gives him a lot of mana back and has short recharge.

Also ignite is not a good spell on singed let's not do that. Move speed runes do not get even close to the bonus ghost does.

Also Singed doesn't really need that gold/5 stuff. He farms just fine on his own and he shouldn't have mana issues if you're smart with the poison toggle. His Ult also gives defense so he doesn't really need to prioritize defense early.

Should save money on that and rush Rod of Ages instead imhhho.

Those summoner skills are solid enough though-- I usually run Flash + Ghost though cause yeah if I'm getting CCed the other team is probably dumb or they have way too much CC for cleanse to get through anyway and should just be itemed against rather than using a slot on that.

Point stands though. I'd never dodge if a dude picked Heal + Ghost. I mean at least Ghost is a top tier summoner spell and you could do a lot worse than heal it's at least not dead weight like the other summoner skills I mentioned probably would be (well, clarity would be good depending on laning partner but I wouldn't trust it too much)

Heal isn't really dodge worthy especially at low level where you don't actually have access to most of the summoner spells (if you're talking about smurf play)

Revive, Smite on a non jungle character are dodge worthy. Heal's not ideal but you could do worse on Kayle. I'd argue Clarity's worse, even. Also clairvoyance is likely worse cause the Kayle probably wouldn't know how to use it.

Well I'm very big on anti-voting. Probably a good 1/4 of the votes I make are because I'm anti-voting the other game.

This would be the first time I'd anti-vote something based entirely on contest results, though.

Oh and "keep strong" I remember clearly I used it on Samoa Joe vs Bryan Danielson to try and do an "evenly matched" feud and they did terribly the first two matches-- third match I remove the note and the rating jumps from D+ and C to B- or something. Didn't really test that one as extensively as protect all out and work the crowd I don't believe.

Although I think the D+ I had was because I booked it as a time limit draw and had them both kept strong, which apparently the game hated.

I believe the guys I tried to use "Protect" on were Kevin Nash, Batista, Warrior, Psycho Sid, Eric Bischoff, and Yokozuna. Match rating was hurt pretty bad for all of them. I think a few of them were tag matches which I think got hurt worse. It was a while ago though so I don't remember for sure. Should've logged this stuff.

I mean none of these guys are Ted Turner or something who has literally 0 wrestling stats but I dunno.

I wouldn't think Keep Strong would hurt things all that much...I use it mainly for strong showing losses, like Eddie losing a tag match because he has to carry Barr or Abyss coming in second in a battle royal after killing everybody. I never think to use Script...my guys rarely get dinged for psychology except like Styles/Truth which kinda sucks. Protect is also kinda rare but it's useful for ring rust or for guys like Mr. Wrestling II who blow up walking to the ring because they're like 55. >_> Hardly ever use Overbook unless there's a storyline reason for it AND the match is gonna suck, which rarely coincides.

I'm just saying pretty much every time I keep the loser strong the match rating suffers by at least one "click" (as in C->C- possibly more). Protect is even worse I've had matches that were normally like Bs drop to Cs because of that note. I kinda cheated a while ago (like sometime last season after getting a D+ show or some crap) and used a backup save and kept rewriting it over to tweak the show just to learn how to play the game better and see what notes helped and hurt and how much. And yeah I'm pretty sure protect/keep strong will reduce the penalty to popularity to the wrestler but the match rating always suffers a little.

Main thing I learned was to be sparing with All Out though. Apparently the stamina penalty is wicked so even if you've got good guys doing it for a 25 minute main event might actually hurt overall.

I'm not sure. I haven't played around with "script->not script" differences like I have with keep strong, protect, all out, work the crowd, open match, etc. People on TEW forums swear by it if your road agent is good. It's hard to say because I pretty much never get bonuses for psychology just penalties for it which apparently do not get erased even by scripting.

If it gives a bonus it's probably minimal, though. But hey every bit helps.

For me it's:

Open match if I'm mixing up the card positions. Midcard vs ME or whatever. This happens a lot actually.
Work Crowd if I know the audience is gonna need a pick me up (pretty easy to guess when this will happen for the most part but sometime it backfires)
All Out for the main event and maybe a quick throwaway match between good wrestlers from time to time.
Dominate for squash.
Script most of the time except with the guys with really high psych.
Keep strong and protect pretty much never-- I think these always hurt the rating for the most part after playing around with them enough.
Finish type if it's DQ or whatever-- which again happens pretty often. Don't actually bother with pinfall or submission.
Overbook if I've got something like Bischoff vs Austin. Unless MsChif is squashing Ted Turner.
Interference if it happens, which again, happens often enough that it's a hassle.
Usually specify loser in multiman matches just because.

I mean yeah it's formulaic and just 2-4 options most of the time but still every bit adds up.

Well I'm not saying I have a problem getting the card the right length or anything, but I do find it tedious at times to put in all the booker notes and stuff all the time. Sliding the minutes bar is just another step in that.

I mean obviously you'd have to tweak the booker notes and stuff but it'd be nice to have at least the foundation of "dude wins" "dude to dominate" "wins via pinfall" (does this note even matter I don't even usually put it) there. Like ideally you'd be able to program booker note templates yourself and then just get a set of them in one click.

EWR seems to be a bit less accurate in general I think, yeah. Like Austin is basically the same guy as Kevin Nash in it which is kinda dumb.

In this game though the good brawlers will have Bs or As, and guys like Kevin Nash have a D+, which is not totally awful but certainly not anything resembling good.

FWA's big dudes usually have D+ Brawl everything else E or F

Which is actually fair I think. Most dudes who don't suck at something have C or better.

I just think the some of the guys who are actually kinda skilled in comparison to the fatties like MVP or Disco or Glacier got hosed by only having Ds.
