Probably depends on the setting. When were over my grandmas house, my moms calls her Ma. But when were around other people (like family), she calls her by her name. Probably because shes not the only mom around. Or something like that. Either way, she used both the word Ma and her first name

I call her both. Just depends on whats going on. But I usually use mother when Im joking with her, or answering the phone jokingly Or mother dearest

Cause I don't see how a walk takes that much out of you unless you've got a condition or you're doing physical labor for 8 to 10 hours a day

I never said the walk was going to take that much. But, if were being honest, walking in this heat does drain my energy faster Im just saying after 12 hours of work, Im usually not full of energy. And shopping/hauling something home would take more energy than I have by that point

In places that are designed to be walkable and/or have good transit, you tend to see a paradigm shift toward people making more, smaller trips to the grocery store, often stopping in to grab a few things on the way home from work instead of making a dedicated trip to get everything they'll need for the week. It works out to about the same amount of time spent (multiple smaller trips tend to involve a bit more total time in the store than a single large trip, but not having to go out specifically for groceries saves a good chunk of time overall), but that way you have smaller loads that are easier to manage on foot.

Thats good for those people. I did that for a while, and hated it And would never want to go back to doing that again

And maybe it works out too close to the same amount of time for them. For me, the time needed to go multiple times a weeks added up to way more than one big trip there and back once every week or two Id rather get it out of the way in one trip then have to split it up into multiple trips

And even then, just because a load in manageable doesnt mean I want to carry it. Like kitty litter, and the pet food. Even just that can be heavy on its own depending on size and stuff

For my store, its pretty close to my house, and I pass it on the way to and from work. Though currently, I get home after it closes. And I shouldnt go before work

That said, if I was walking home, I dont think Id have the energy to shop, and definitely wouldnt have the energy to haul anything home

Ok yea, you are point out one of the flaws with the list. I was responding to a quote talking about reoffending and I took that comment to be the sort of person the list was actually intended for. My meaning was I do not think it is possible for someone who is sexually attracted to something they should not be to be "rehabilitated" to no longer be attracted to that thing.

I cant say whether or not that can be changed. But they could be rehabilitated to not act on said attraction, at the very least Thats assuming they get the help they need Which I feel like many of them dont get

Ive done waking around before when I was younger, but any walking I do this day is just around the neighborhood at night. Like others said, its time consuming Why waste that time when I can do something better with that time

Back in tech school, I use to walk to and from my dorm and the store And since I couldnt get my car, I had to walk home with groceries. Even with my huge ass backpack, I had to walk home with armloads of groceries. Luckily, both times when I had way too many groceries, I got help. The first time, I ran into 2 guys I knew who helped my back. And the other time, a guy who knew I was a green rope helped me back

For people feeling the time constraints, I recommend giving audiobooks a try. Getting to spend your walking time learning something interesting or enjoying a good story makes it feel like a very productive use of your limited leisure time.

While I do like and use both of these, I also use them while driving For me, its that Id like to use my extra time for other things instead of walking. And depending on what I need to do, I can still listen to stuff while do other things. Like chores Although, I also like using that extra time to sleep instead sometimes In that case, I cant listen to anything But that extra sleep can help

That's fair, but it's also still important to keep thinking about it in terms of "driving is better because my environment has been designed to make driving better at the expense of everything else," instead of accepting it as normal to have the nearest grocery store be unfeasible to walk to. You do have the power to vote to improve urban planning issues, but you have to recognize them and know what to look for in solutions to do so.

Sometimes, its not that its unfeasible to walk to But I tend to buy quite a bit at the grocery store Id rather not walk or bike with that much weight

Maybe they have to check place before they build the school

I like keeping the window open. And I usually have the window seat I like looking outside. And theres specific time of day when its looks beautiful above the clouds. Like the clouds that are thick enough they they almost look solid enough to stand on. And when the sky is that pretty orange color But with a few other colors mixed in. Its one of my favorite sights

Its different because in this case, they are talking about a place many people havent heard about because its not in a lot of places. Where with you, its because you dont leave your house. I always used to have an "Emergency Sobriety Kit" when I was drinking heavily. It was basically a can of Mountain Dew and a bottle of Gatorade, and I'd drink both before I went to bed.

The caffeine would help counter the depressant effects of the alcohol, and the Gatorade would help prevent the dehydration. No matter how drunk I got, I almost never had a hangover the next day.

My body is just weird. I never get hangovers whenever I get drunk. And I wake up early, as well Dont know why

Yeah. A ton of games have been doing stuff like that. But a bunch are trying to at least add the part from the ad you see in the game. But it ends up being like a very small percentage of the actual game. For the Evony one, you can also only play the ad game a certain number of times per like day or something

Tbf, at least they let you do that. Some ads are completely different

Character limit?

You can only hold a certain amount of characters. Which is fine. But I remember that number not being high at all Like high for the amount of characters there are. So, youre constantly having to get rid of characters Even in other games with limits, I can either keep raising the limits. Or at the very least, get enough space to hold one of each character Though, because of how you upgrade characters, I would need to be able to hold a bunch of extra characters just to upgrade other characters to be good for other characters Other than that, its not bad But, yeah

I have. And I know a couple of others who have. Though, one guy (on PotD) hasnt been around for a while And I know a few in real life Its not bad But I dont like the character limit

When I was a kid, a friend of mine used to exclusively buy his school lunch with $2 bills. At the time most of us had never even seen a $2 other than from him, and were kind of confused that it was real money at all.

In retrospect, now I just wonder where the hell his parents got so many $2 and why they were apparently trying to get rid of them all.

My great-grandma had a bunch. And every time I use to see her as a kid, she use to give me a $2 bill. I use to just put them in my piggy bank (made from one of those water cooler things) back home. I think its still at home. While I saved up a bunch, I never used my of it. I assume the $2 bills are still there
