I tend to use the NATO charts to make comparisons, so I go by those codings.

Pretty sure I saw Staff Sergeant listed as OR-6/E-6, or is this another "Captain" situation?

I just go by the US ranks Im E-6 In the Air Force, and thats Technical Sergeant. The branches are all pretty different from each other already before even getting into international differences

He recently became a SSgt, and thinks hes above everyone else Well, above the SrA and below But hes pretty much trash at this. Our actual NCOIC (our boss for the section) left him in charge, but was worried about it. And its been bad. Hes only in charge for two weeks (last week and this week), but yeah Hes already given out like 3-4 pieces of paperwork, and might try to give another out today Which Ill do my best to stop if he really tries to He also lies a lot Hes about to have a mutiny on his hands Either way, nobody is happy with him So glad its only temporary

At some point it would be better to cut off the dead/split ends yes, but that is something best discussed with someone actually knowledgeable of hair and not just tricking you into being a regular customer, as that timing probably depends on the specifics of each individual's hair.

Yeah. She knows about hair. When I said constantly going, I just meant never stopping fully. But she definitely started waiting much longer to go. Basically, long enough for the hair to grow some, but not too long to where the split ends would get bad Like you said, its still depends on the individual, so most stuff she had to find a happy balance of that took a little time to figure out

When she was originally trying, she was stop dyeing her hair And I dont think she ever got perms. She was taking care of her hair, abd even looking specific stuff up. It was mostly just taking care of it, and getting it cut every once in a while That was for a few years But it was still taking forever And while there are other ways to help avoid split ends, cutting it usually the most surefire way. And I can understand why it would be worrisome for some people

It can be hard for some people to grow it back. My best friend use to have long hair, and cut it kind of short once. And shes been trying to get it longer. The problem is you still have to get a certain amount cut constantly to avoid split ends So, shes still trying

I hear that less people are driving, so it seems to be true Not to mention that theres more interactions via social media and such, plus many people like WFH. And more jobs are apparently going that route That said, if it works for them, then thats good. I cant imagine going to back to not driving myself everywhere for the most part, though I hate it when Im stuck places waiting on someone else And most places Ive been dont have the best public transport. They can be cheap, but they all take longer than driving And sometimes, dont really drop you off as close as you would want Or pick you up as close as you would want

Not sure what Im going to do when self-driving cars come, though As I absolutely dont trust them, nor would I get in one

A lot of European cities as well as South American cities did build car infrastructure but then through policy changes developed their cities to be even more walkable. Amsterdam wasn't the care free paradise that people think it is over 20 years ago. Yeah they had a lot of infrastructure already purposed to make urban living easier but it's not something that can't be made to happen here. We just need the local politicians to have the good will to make these changes to our cities to make them much more livable without owning a car. The massive size of the US shouldn't mean that cities and regions can't make changes to improve infrastructure or public transit access.

From what I heard, youd basically have to rebuild whole cities for it to work well And it would also cost a lot Like A LOT

You can be more specific, it's an AI, it can figure it out. Some people ask it to respond "in the style of X", or to not use cooperate speech structure.
There are some people online who have gotten really good at it.

An AI might be able to figure it out But it might just spew out shit like it usually does, as well When reading stuff written by AI, its can be very obvious sometimes

As an example, John Wick could be described as a generic action movie about a badass who has been wronged and is seeking revenge. That's been done a million times before, and yet John Wick feels fresh.

I don't buy into the argument that we can't make new things because everything has been done before. Literally every Marvel movie follows a cookie cutter plot and yet people show up in droves to watch those.

I think its a good enough excuse. Just because John Wick feels fresh to you doesnt mean it feels fresh to everyone. And just like how the generic action movie about a badass who has been wronged and is seeking revenge movie feels fresh to you even though its been done to death, another type thats been done to death might feel fresh to someone else, even though you might find it bland The end result is they can either make movies with many being the same thing thats been done before with maybe better jokes with the occasional new concept here and there. Or we can just have no new movies since its all been done before. And while many might choose not new movies, I rather not be stuck watching the same exact movies. At least the new movies of old concepts might have new jokes Thats just how I feel, though
