Very disappointed in this. The jokes are offensive and unfunny, but also 8-10 years old by someone who made his name on offensive schlock. He was a Troma writer, this was his thing. The fact that Disney fired someone who they entirely knew had made and previously apologised for these jokes because of an entirely artificial, politically motivated outcry is sad. Especially nonsensical since they hired him on the basis of his past works.

What is really troubling though, is that with the Fox purchase Disney now controls 40% of the industry, and since they said they severed ties with him it means he is effectively blacklisted from half the industry. Insane.

8 hours in, including the time for the demo, doing the OCTOPATH route. I was wondering though, is it better to do one story at a time, or one chapter from each at a time? Is the latter even easily possible with the way the level requirements go? I would like to recruit everybody then focus on one character at a time if that's feasible.

I think XIII is bang on. The challenge will come later when he can say "oh I would have done it differently". If he's smart at least. Anybody who takes over now will run into the exact same problems because unicorns don't exist and a "good" brexit deal is a unicorn. Additionally May will likely win any challenge because everybody else in the running is even more hated (except MAYBE Sajid Javid, but he would be the continuity choice anyway).

Although if there are mass (and by mass I mean like... 5) MP resignations that could trigger an election I think, but that's unlikely.

How do you define exclusive? Because the Xbox One has a decent amount of console exclusives. They are however almost entirely on PC. If exclusives are the defining factor get a PS4, but even that is only a handful. If say Bloodborne/Uncharted/God of War/Horizon don't mean much to you just get whichever platform you think will be a better place to play multiplatform games.

It would be dumb, except that Britain put itself in this position by voting for Brexit. They committed to removing themselves from the EU without getting their replacement deal with the US or others in place first. Well, someone who treats bargaining as a zero sum game like Trump is going to pounce whenever he sees weakness, and Britain has a very weak hand right now.

The UK could not have done that and still cannot. As an EU member it cannot negotiate separate trade deals, doing so would defeat the entire point of the EU and the Customs Union. Britain has a weak hand because it's in a weak position, and slashing its regulatory standards to get a trade deal with the US will not solve that. Also look at what Trump has said about Sadiq Khan and tell me he has not called anybody from another country dumb or similar. Come on.

It's obviously in the best interest of the US for the EU to break up - it's not in our competitive interest to have a competitor unified trading bloc that is just as big economically as the US.

I hate this "why is a remainer in charge of brexit?" line. The idea is to get something that works for the country, not for half of it. Whether the PM was leave or remain is not really important. And a leaver would bump into the exact same problems May has. Besides, she made leave supporters brexit secretary and foreign secretary and they both failed. Almost as if the problem is brexit itself.

-Said Theresa May is doing a bad job.
-Said he told her how to do brexit properly.
-Said Boris Johnson should replace her.
-Implied the EU should break up.
-Implied the UK should break up.
-Blamed Sadiq Khan for terror attacks, despite the fact that Trump funded the deadliest terror group in the UK's history.
-Justified this by saying Khan has allowed too much immigration, which he has no control over.
-Complained that for some mysterious reason, the people don't make him feel welcome.

Like saw they held another snap election, and May's party got thoroughly trounced and the people who won were predominantly from a liberal party. Could they just refuse to enforce Brexit? Or do some lame, completely half-assed measure and say "there that counts"?

Well Labour are not liberal, they are left wing. Right now they are a socialist party. Jeremy Corbyn is a brexiteer who has opposed the EU since the UK joined. Them getting in would not stop brexit, though it would likely lead to a softer approach. The liberal party is well, the centrist Liberal Democrats who are pro-EU but still recovering from the damage they took in coalition with the Tories. So they will struggle to make a huge impact at the moment. XIII is 100% right, brexit isn't a left/right issue.

As for half-measure that's what we're almost inevitably headed for - some form of Single Market+Customs Union arrangement, probably under a different name. But the hard brexiteers will scream betrayal. They are screaming it at May's compromise, and when that inevitably has to be watered down they will react even worse. The country isn't just divided between leave and remain, even the leavers are divided on what they want.

I know this is joking, but there is an important point here as to why they can't just "get on with it" - it is actually impossible. The EU is tied to things like aviation, so a true no deal would mean flights can't leave the country. No trade arrangement means there would be chaos at the ports - there are no customs checks at Dover because they don't need them, and suddenly leaving the customs union would mean suddenly nothing could get into the country. So there would be huge food shortages. And that's not getting into the border with Ireland. All this is just a fraction of what no deal would cause.

Of course even a "hard" brexit with a deal is quite impossible because of the Irish border. The hard brexiteers are trying to crash the country for stupid ideology that doesn't even work. But the good news is that they've managed to remove themselves from relevance pretty well. And now all four of the great offices of state (Prime Minister, Chancellor, Home Secretary and Foreign Secretary) are occupied by remainers...

No way she'll resign of her own free will, this is her chance to kill off the hardline brexiteer rebellion. If she survives and passes the bill (possibly depending on Labour/Lib Dem support, but unlikely) then it proves they have no teeth. There are four outcomes here:

1. Nothing happens. The brexiteers piss and moan, but May stays.
2. Vote of No Confidence. If 48 Tory MPs send in letters of no confidence to the 1922 committee, a vote of no confidence is triggered which requires 158 Tory MPs (a majority of party MPs) to push her out, and she is barred from running in the resulting leadership election.
3. Leadership challenge. May does what Major did and resigns to run in a leadership election. If she wins the rebellion is dead.
4. General Election. May decides to either get a majority so she has the votes for her deal, or let Labour sort it out. Could possibly even see a Tory split into two parties like what happened to Labour in the 80s. This seems likely at some point because IIRC minority governments have never lasted more than about two years anyway.

Edit: Secret fifth option is she tries to form a national government with Labour but that seems difficult.
