people always say the Spurs wouldn't have won in 2017 anyway but they were up by a lot in Game 1 before Kawhi went down, and they put up good games against them in the regular season as well

yeah I get that was just Game 1 but I also don't think it's fair to dismiss their chances entirely

the fact that the Spurs had to be a 6 seed against the Clippers in 2015 is still stupid (and it's why the NBA largely made divisions irrelevant afterwards) but we also lost the last game of the season against a bad Pelicans team that made us the 6 seed instead of the 3 seed

It was supposed to sell people on it in the sense that Star Wars is a big selling point for anything, but the first season was completely detached from anything else in the series for a reason. If it was poorly received, it could be quietly filed away and forgotten about.

Mandalorian wasn't supposed to be the monster hit it became. It was meant to be something safe they released on Disney Plus, so if it flopped, it was no big deal.

Mandalorian's massive success probably has as much to do with why they've moved away from Star Wars theatrical releases as the backlash of the sequels.

in 2016, he was down 2-1 without home court and came back to beat the spurs who had won 67 teams and statistically were actually the best regular season spurs ever. absolutely torched prime defensive kawhi leonard that series.

this one still hurts

not quite as much as the following season because of Zaza (the worst) but yeah it was wild to see how overwhelming OKC became after those first three games

Seymour is the primary antagonist in the sense that he drives the actions of the heroes and the plot somehow even more than the Pilgrimage does at times but he's also such a loser that he deserved to get owned before the final boss

getting the emotional payoff with Jecht at the end was better than some lame final showdown with Seymour (even if it does have great boss music)

The only thing I know about Sonic Chronicles is that some of the characters reference the Ken Penders characters he took away in the lawsuit, so the game can never get a sequel.

I'm pretty sure it explained this at some point already, but he got fired after the affair went public, so he moved to Inaba, where his family runs a business.

Stranger Things Season 3 complete!

Wow, the biggest plot twist of this season was that Suzie turned out to be real! Also, it was nice that they gave Billy his moment of redemption, even though I didn't particularly like him. My guess is that the "American" in the post-credits scene is Hopper and he didn't die at the end. Either that, or he somehow got trapped in the Upside Down. Regardless, I don't think he's dead.

Not sure if I preferred season 1 or season 3, but they were both pretty great.

it is my duty in this topic to stand up for Season 2's ED whenever the topic comes up

my wife made me skip the season 2 ED every time because she couldn't stand it

and I never skip OPs and EDs even when I hate them

even in "traditional" fighting games, the roster matters

there's a reason Street Fighter keeps bringing back the SF2 roster in every game, they tried to move on from them in SF3 and it flopped (the fighting game community loves Third Strike because it's mechanically a very good game, but the general reception was not positive)
