That's true, but there's bit of context to that I didn't get to in my original post. Parking absolutely fucking sucks where I work. We're the only company without reserved parking in a massive lot and there's a hotel right in front of the building that takes up what would otherwise be a lot of other parking spaces. Even a good spot is a hike and I've had times where I'm parking pretty much a quarter mile away from the doors. It suuuuuucks.

The space with the red SUV is the best spot you can get and it's only that row that isn't reserved for the other places.

The green circle is about where the doors are behind the hotel.

The hill is pretty much the best spot that no one takes, otherwise, I'm parking like 5 or 6 spots down the other side of it.

I work in a call center and the culture is pretty much, "Don't even think of possibly infecting this place with your light sniffles. Fuck your hours and go home."

That said, I don't mind using "sick" as an excuse to get out of work for the most part.

When I was making $20.50/hour, it was a different story. I was forced to go home.

If the money's good enough, I can absolutely see myself working through it. In most cases, I'd likely be sent home anyways, but a broken limb would be worth walking on.

Rockstar games have pretty bad controls, and that was acceptable when other open world games were bad but no so much in 2015+.

Tapping X to run is awful, characters don't pivot when you try to walk backwards instead opting to walk forward and then back in a circular motion which can cause you to fall off of ledges, your character has to awkwardly slow down and pathfind their way to car doors when you steal a car which is great when you're getting shot at and don't have very much health, i've never been a fan of glue on cover systems in general.

Nevermind the non-existent stealth system. It's literally worse than Oblivion's psychic guards.

GTAV's a fun ass game, but it's clunky as hell and has some serious issues it otherwise shouldn't.

Yes, of course, and I wish I did. I made my dog's last few months absolutely miserable because I was so concerned with keeping him as healthy as possible when no matter what I tried, his quality of life was awful. He went completely blind and couldn't find his own way around the house, he was having seizures left and right and losing control of his bowels, he was scratching/biting himself to the point he'd be a bloody mess, and he wasn't eating.

I know a few posters here that when it got to that point, they gave their pup one last good meal like bacon or something and I wish I did that and gave him the last moments he deserved.

Pretty much anyone with common sense would get it done when it's time, but I was an idiot.

I can't tell if you're a god or not. From what little I've played so far, it seems like you're an Einherjar risen from the grave to stop Ragnarok(aka kill Loki).

"Networth" was the wrong word.

He was going from bringing in $800k a year to $200k on his fixed income.

This was a conversation I had with someone during last year's open enrollment, so I'm a little fuzzy on the details. But he was pretty cozy.

No problem. For a little bit of background, the first Rune was a PVP action game based on Viking folklore. I believe it had a campaign, but I didn't get too far.

This game has a 100% singleplayer campaign if that's what you're interested in.

It's definitely a little rough around the edges. It seems pretty ambitious which is nice, but it definitely has that open-source game type of feel to it. You'll see what I mean in a moment. I started recording a few minutes into it and I have about 30 mins of me wandering aimlessly trying to figure out how to make a boat lol

But you do get to see a bit of the combat and animations. One thing to note is that it definitely feels like it was made with a M+KB in mind. The controller was kind of awkward and I'm pretty sure there's no way to open the journal directly through it.

Other than that, it's got some performance hiccups which I read about from the few reviews I did find. It isn't the prettiest looking game, but that doesn't bother me too much. When my footage is uploaded, you'll see it on mostly Ultra settings. I put Shadows on medium and draw distance on High. Textures and Particles are both on Ultra. Everything else is Very High.

I don't totally regret my purchase, but I am glad I opted for the basic version whereas I was originally considering getting one of the two deluxe editions. I still want to see what all the game has to offer, because that appears to be quite substantial at first glance. We'll see after I get over the hump of the first island.

It's really surprising how much lack of publicity this game has gotten. Not that it was ever a massive hit or anything, but usually the return of a cult classic is enough for there to generate loads of reviews. There's a grand total of like 4 or 5 on Metacritic.

Either way, I'll download this ish and post my thoughts ITT later.

It's pretty much one variety of combat, and it's "parry everything".

In my personal opinion, when it comes to combat, Nioh > All of them.

Can't wait to play the second game. But it might be awhile before it gets a PC release.
