Imagine being so emotional that you have to bring up race. But Chrystul Kizer killed her alleged sex trafficker. Even if didn't have much to do with him the guy was a scumbag who should've had it coming long ago.

But lets look at the situation at hand.

A group of citizens were at the gas station that was locked up to prevent it from being looted and burned. Which rioters have been doing in that city for three nights. Rioters upset that people are actually defending property conjugated to that area to lash out at them. The situation got heated and someone got shot. Riots lost their shit and started to pursue the shooter and attack him. The shooter fires back in self defense then tries to surrender to the cops. The cops tell him to leave so he returns home. The shooter is arrested the next day.

Except they didn't try to 'take over the US' they tried to leave the US.
