smurfs, nut job 2, and the boss baby. the emoji movie is just boring and uninspired in the way that so many children's movies are. it's not any worse than, say, the lego ninjago movie.

batman and harley quinn is not a children's movie but it's trash. one of the worst movies i've ever watched all the way through.

yeah, this is why rotten tomatoes is pretty useless for determining what good movies are. imdb is way better.

for the record, paddington 2 has an 8.1 on imdb now so it's probably pretty good regardless.

Just because it is measuring a different metric doesn't make it useless. It just tells you something different about the movie than metacritic or IMDB.

The tomatometer is actually very useful as a confidence level. Something with 100% may or may not be the greatest movie ever, but you can be sure that it's not shitty.

Actually, people's views and beliefs are deeply-rooted and often beyond their own control.

For example, you probably can't suddenly start to believe that the Earth is or isn't flat, or that God does or doesn't exist. Your views on these subjects are influenced by a lifetime of experience that your brain is unlikely to discard without convincing evidence.

I think a stronger argument would be to say that there is a problem when people's beliefs or traits cause harm to others.

The relevant thing in this news for most people is the availability of Fox content on Netflix now that disney has a controlling share of Hulu and also is planning their own digital streaming service.

I would not be surprised to see some of that stuff removed.

I never thought the RotS Anakin/Obi Wan duel was legitimately good unless you're in it for cheese. Much like the whole movie. It has dumb as hell dialogue and I love it.
