Yeah, I do have Eiko and Sarah... both are pretty good, but I don't have proshellga glints for them and they're not in the shop yet. Once the shop updates I really want to grab Eiko's glint and USB5 and try her as a main healer.

I tried Abductor a few more times, I think I'm giving up until I get a new relic. My main problem is when I get to phase 4 my only counter to slow is Lenna's awakening 2 which doesn't give last stand or heal, and I really need to heal at that point in the fight. And my damage is to slow to save Orran's awakening for that point. I could try a different healer with a better awakening like Elarra, but her USB isn't nearly as good as Lenna's.

If the Squall stuff and Laguna stuff from b2 were on the same banner I'd be pretty tempted. There really aren't a lot of banners coming up that look great to me.

Sounds like you spent more time on it than I did. Definitely tough but I'm not mad yet, maybe because I went in with low expectations. I think I need another cap break for one of my chainers (Celes or Laguna), and I need a real chain for magic.

I wish we didn't have to wait SO long for the anima lens refresh since I think that'll really open up more teambuilding options.

Hmm, yeah, I got him below 40% and used Lenna's awakening 2 to counter the slow, but then 4/5 members died to the Labyrinth Tornado the next turn. Her AASB1 would be much better there since it gives last stand, but I don't have it. Celes also didn't have enough SB to refresh the chain on time.

I think I saw a couple other things I can improve though... I should use Delita's awakening first for the 100% crit because later I'll have enough SB to use his USB (75% crit) right before his sync. Also I forgot about the def/res/mnd buff and used a different glint at the beginning of that phase, then I couldn't counter the buff because of the paintings. So time to try again.

I only used two markers and then I just bought 3/3/6 Fran gear from the shop to fight Abductor. Right now I have to get a little exercise before it gets dark though so I'll be ready to take on the incognito Enkidu after that.

Today was my 2300 login... got three dupes with the ticket, two USBs and a OSB. That pool is so dated now they really should have just made it 15 mythril for everything past 2000 instead of tickets but oh well.

Do you not have Tyro's USB3? (The one that's hastega, shellga, protectga, and wall) it should be lensable and it covers a lot of bases. He can also crit fix with his USB4, or just entrust.

I'm going to try but judging by my experience with Sandworm I think I'm probably a little short of a clear. For physical I think I'd need an extra sync or awakening for my chain holder (which can be Celes or Laguna, currently just have the first awakening for each).

Celes - Chain, awakening 1, both USB

Squall and Ayame are backup options (sync/awakening for both)

For magic I guess I'm trying with Rinoa's gen 1 chain, or else I need to use Laguna.

Aw yeah, took down VIII Dragonking. 44.41. I ended up doing it with my non-ice team (Rinoa, Fujin, Ultimecia, Selphie, Cait Sith)... although I have fewer cap breaks, the ice team is just much more awkward with mixing physical and magic and having to imperil. That's my 5th dragonking fight down.

3% artifacts are a lot better than no artifacts and you can upgrade them to 5% later, so they're definitely worth picking up for characters you use.

I got a dupe of Rinoa's earth awakening and... Edea's awakening. I guess the game really wants me to use her. I still need a darn ice magic chain though, aside Rinoa's old gen 1.

This water banner is no good for me... I already have Tidus's dyad and I have zero interest in the other characters. What I could use is better stuff for Strago and then maybe Rydia, Serah, Luna, and/or Arc.

High mind is almost like a cheat code in this game. I love it when enemies use status effects on my white mage and they just shrug it off. Combine that with full break and labyrinth fatigue not effecting it...

That makes sense since it matches up with how attack/mag hybrid abilities work. White magic water damage is kinda cool.

Are you sure about that? The community spreadsheet says it's WHT/SUM, it should be magic based when dealing water damage and mind based when dealing holy.

I think the easiest is still the d180 dreams fights. You can just put it on autobattle. The realms with an offensive character has a IC3 LM like Lightning, Noctis, and Luneth go especially fast. My problem is my phone keeps crashing when I leave it on autobattle so when I was somewhat serious about farming magicite I used BlueStacks.

I have her USB1 and 2 already... I could grab 3 but it seems like it's usually worse than 1 because of no entry heal. I'll probably try her HA since HAs are cheap these days.

Did you get Selphie's HA? One of her problems is her awakening doesn't work with white magic and passion salsa just doesn't heal enough to be useful.

Valefor I'd definitely one of the hardest 6*. It helps a lot to have AOE abilities for the tornadoes, so Celes or Squall's HA for physical and Shiva for the magical version.

I tried the VIII dragonking, it felt super awkward and my team was dying too easily... after I died early in phase 2 I realized my HC was only level 80, lol. I'll give it another try with a 120 HC, but Selphie doesn't seem very good and Cait doesn't contribute enough healing to make up for it. I might need to build a physical team so I can use Orran instead.

Agreed, that is nice. Is it just for the 9 featured characters that month? It definitely seems like they're trying to save a lot of the better characters for later seasons.

And as far as I can tell, the best use for treasure maps is augmenting your gear if you want to get those last few points of atk/mag.

If I had her chain I'd use her, but since I don't, it wouldn't make sense to select anything for her. I already have three strong ice mages with two cap breaks each. And Serah would be a better chain wielder since I have her 500 SB glint.

Overall disappointing. Best item is obviously Edea's sync, but without her awakening she's still my #4 ice mage behind Serah, Rinoa, and Vivi. I like all those characters a lot more than her too. Oh well.

Shiva wasn't quite as easy as the first three for me, even though she was the easiest one the first time around. I think I was just too greedy taking another DPS instead of Cait. Valefor on the other hand was legitimately annoying, first one I've had to retry.

The 6* magicite missions are fun, they show how far we've come, and the rewards are good! I did the first four. Ifrit is still a jerk, I cut my time from 53.x to 25.x but I had three dead characters at the end. No real problems with the first three (starting from Titan), my time was right around 21 seconds on all of them.

Did all my pulls on VIII because I could really use Fujin sync/AASB2 or Ultimecia sync, plus a lot of other stuff would be nice to have. Not great pulls but I think Laguna will be my only physical ice limit if I don't use Fran, so maybe I'll use that. Quistis realm chain could potentially get used too but probably not without her awakening.

How many cap breaks did you have for that team? I'm guessing 2 for Rinoa, 2 for Ultimecia... 1 for Fujin?

You can still use Rinoa's HA with earth. The best way to do it is leave the other ability slot empty so she has no other options in ability berserk mode.

Does this one resist ice? My best DPS is probably Squall/Rinoa/Laguna, but for the dreambreaker ice resist was too annoying and I did a team with Rinoa(earth), Fujin, and Ultimecia. The last two only have one cap break each so that's probably not enough for Bahamut.

I was hoping we'd get Odin this morning. No idea why they're dragging it out for so long.

That's cool, I love those callbacks like that.

I'm thinking about whether it's worth doing an awakening select before they go away. Would Zack's second one help enough with Sandworm to be worth it? I already have his sync and imperil G+. Or do I just need a better chainer and shouldn't invest more in Zack? What about Lenna's awakening 1, worth it to complete her or is there a better healer I should use?

I hadn't thought about that Squall BSB in a long time but that thing was amazing. 7x1.25 would still be an amazing ability today, if you didn't need to use a BSB and 2-3 turns of build up to get it.

And 5* magicite was the time when Vivi was top tier in six elements, with doublecast USB and 50% doublecast trance. I love Vivi.

I thought we did have awakenings by the time of dark Odin. Doing 5* magicite without awakenings was tough. I remember when Syldra came out I had top of the line ice for the day - Celes's doublecast USB, Squall's USB2 and his BSB (if you weren't playing then it was one of the best BSBs with a build up and then a 7 hit command), and Laguna's gen 2 chain, and I couldn't beat it.

I'll be choosing between Squall, Ayame, Delita, and Fran. Sync+awakening for all of them, sync+ 2 awakenings in the case of Fran. No dyads. I think I'm leaning toward Delita/Ayame and Laguna for chain/imperil, but I could try Delita/Fran with Celes chaining.

You can get Freya's gen 0 chain in the lens shop, it's better than nothing... but on the other hand if you don't have a lot of lenses it might be better to just wait for a better one.

I think Lenna's AASB2 would be good if every healer including Lenna didn't have a proshellga glint. Its main value is on the first turn of the fight but there's just no reason to spend 500 SB points when you can get the important part for free. But other times the lack of entry healing or last stand makes it risky (although if you know when to time it the awakened mode is still useful.)

I'm trying Sandworm again... just got dead ended in phase 4 while it still had 15.8% HP left. This was with Cloud, Zack, Zidane, Orran, and Lenna. My phase 4 damage was really low though, Zidane's dyad finisher did around 4k per hit with a max (99) chain.

I realized for the first time in years I think Elarra might not be my best healer, Lenna's brave USB is really good. Her AASB1 would be nice to have, I have her sync and AASB2 but neither of those is all that great.

I had another crash *after* finishing the fight on the now loading screen... but this time when my phone finally recovered my progress was still there, thank goodness. FFX Bahamut finally down!! That was one of the hardest fights I can remember having in this game. And not hard because I had to figure out how to maximize an underpowered team... The III torment was like that for me and I still have fond memories of overcoming that one. This time my team was nuts and the fight is just annoying as hell.

Yeah, I have Quina's awakening too. I'm really missing their glints and last USB though, can't wait for those to be available in the lens shop. Being able to regenga would help a lot in realms where my healer can't, and the trance + IC3 one seems great.

I tried XIII dragonking and got him down to 25.4% on my first try. Everything was going pretty well until I got into phase 3 and couldn't come close to breaking 20k without using AOSBs / Lightning's LBO. I wish these characters had OSBs besides Lightning... I might have to use hers.
