Do you have any tips for dealing with ancient recall/memory bite/Dragonking megaflare back to back? That seems like the thing that gets me in every realm... I know I've gotten past it a few times (I have three clears for one thing) but I don't really remember how.

Rem is definitely great, as long as you gear her for mind and with holy boosting weapon & armor.

Not sure if I will do the Bahamut tomorrow. The Farron sisters with their ATB syncs are a strong offense, but for Vanille I don't have her proshellga glint and it's not in the shop, and I don't have a sync or awakening. I do have her good USB. Mixed teams are also harder to do.

X Dragonking has been driving me crazy. I got Tidus's sync and it's great, but I just can't keep my team alive to finish the fight. I keep dying in different places too since my timing's not exact and doublecasts change when I hit phase 2, and I'm also trying different things. Best I did was just past 80%.

It seems like a great banner... half price and all but one are sync or awakening... but I have so many dupes. Only 6 aren't dupes and one is the AOSB. But I do want those Zack awakenings.

Speaking of annoying, X Dragonking is also super annoying. I'm not sure if Tidus's sync would even help me much here, my problem is I don't have enough SB gauge to clear the historia souls and I keep dying to Dragonking Megaflare. Which is weird because I have two +500 SB point glints in my party, and I'm saving most of my SBs. I can't remember what I did in other realms, was I getting out of the phase before Dragonking Megaflare?

Yuna's USB5 would help a lot. Hard to take spending $30 on a USB these days though. I don't know why USBs aren't 2 for 1 like glints.

Yeah, I've also been working on Dragonking (V) and he's super annoying. I don't know how Lenna can have this much trouble keeping up with damage when I have her sync, awakening 2, and her awesome USB4. I'm not super impressed with Bartz's wind sync on first usage either.

Hmm, well, didn't understand everything that was happening there but I got a few ideas. Maybe I should take longer in phase one and build up enough for 2 SBs before starting the offense. And maybe I should use an entruster. Also looks like chases are good, but I'm not sure if they're as good as Cloud's USB1.

Also I did a 100 gem pull on the banner and got Bartz's wind dyad, which is pretty nice but I really wanted Strago's sync.

Congrats. Right now I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to beat this one. I barely know what to do without overdrive, and my damage just feels inadequate. Feels like I need a better chain... I don't see many clears with Zack's chain on the mastery thread.

Magic version also beaten with Red's sync. Took 35 seconds but that one felt super safe with Cait and Elarra both healing and keeping last stand up. I saved Red's sync for the last phase to make sure I had plenty of firepower to finish it in time and that worked.

I think I'm going to have to try physical wind with Orran solo healing again since that one seems to require huge damage output.

Whew, beat him again and this time it didn't crash. It froze for half a second during the "loading..." animation and my heart almost stopped but then it finished loading.

2/11 - Fran sync, Luneth BSB

I grabbed Red XIII's ATB sync for my first pick. Second pick will probably be Tidus2, but I'll hold off for a little bit.

Fran's sync is cool, somehow my Fran has become a monster with me picking up two awakenings, sync, and limit break all on random draws. Tyro's dyad is a weird one, it seems like a pure DPS relic but cool to get I guess. I probably won't use it unless I randomly get his sync too.

OMG, you have to be kidding me. I just did this... the game crashed after this screenshot... and when I reopened the game it told me I left in the middle of battle. The fight was over!! I have to do it again?

First sandworm attempt I died to the beginning of phase 3 attack (55%). I guess I need to get last stand up before then. Or is there some other way to survive that?

I got Delita's awakening on the daily draw today. And I got his sync during fest so I guess I need to use him now. Is he good aside from being able to use 4 elements? I already have at least two characters with sync+awakening in all of his elements so he's got a lot of competition.

I am going to try, but feeling a lot less optimistic once I remembered that we won't have overdrive. I'm planning to try two physical teams: Cloud, Zidane, Zack, Orran, and Elarra for one, and Cloud, Zidane, Zack, Orran, and Bartz for the other. On Kalavinka Striker it feels like my yolo team has gotten closer to winning, but with better offense on my wind team the safer approach might work.

I'm annoyed again at how bad Galuf's damage is with his first awakening, and sad I didn't get either of his better items in the fest. I still can't get below 20% on Kalavinka Striker.

Physical darkness Odin beaten! I'm not sure if the emblem made that big of a difference but it felt a lot easier this time. Seph's crits were hitting for around 30k a lot of the time when last time it seemed like he often struggled to break 20k. Still took me 48 seconds though and I only had about 3 turns before dead end, so maybe I just misremembered how hard it was before.

I'm also impatient for the dream select but it's so I can get Red's sync and try to beat the last endgame boss.

For Sandworm there's no way I can get a magic clear for a while. I haven't event beaten odin with magic wind yet, the only one I haven't done yet aside from physical dark. For physical wind I'm pretty sure I already have the tools, I just need to be good enough to use them. (My only weakness is I'm still using Zack's chain, but I have his sync and his wind imperil glint+ so he's still pretty solid.)

Yay, beat the magic-weak one. That one wasn't too bad, my damage was way better than the physical weak version. Time to try the physical one some more.

Also I beat the III dreambreaker thanks to picking up Aria's USB2 and OK's sync. 35.xx clear. OK's dyad was hitting for 30k+ per hit which was pretty nice, and his sync was great.

Dropping Sephiroth's not really an option for me since him and Shadow are my only characters with 2 physical dark cap breaks. Shadow's good at breaking cap with his HA extra hit, and with the chases from his USB1 (2.16 multiplier per hit). But his damage on his regular hits is really suffering too.

Also for the first time I'm starting to feel the need to hone Elarra's awakening. Almost makes me want to push through the last 20 levels of spiralling depths.

This Odin is tough. Best run so far (physical) got him to 1.8% but then I got dead ended.

I tried a few different things against physical Kalavinka Striker, but so far no luck. I tried a team with Orran as the only healer (Noctis, Gladiolus, Bartz, Galuf, and Orran) because I saw some other people made it work, but I'm not able to survive the Labyrinth Hellstorm Bolts. I tried using Gladiolus's chain so I could cut Galuf for Bartz... that gives me great DPS for the first 2-3 phases but we run out of steam late. I also tried Quina instead of Orran for the crits, but we lose too much time by not being able to counter the phase 2 Crushing Thunder buff.

By the way, does Kalavinka Striker disappear when the Labyrinth rotates to group 2?

I beat XIV dreambreaker with my new stuff (mostly Papalymo). I think I could sub-30 but I got distracted and used Orran's FB counter before actually hitting phase 3, oops.

I think the most annoying part of the FF VI cardia fights for me is the resist fire move (+3 levels!). Terra and Locke are two of my three best characters in the realm (and I only have fire stuff for Terra).

I should be set for physical Odin, my team is Shadow (Sync/AASB), Seph (Sync/AASB), and Seifer (Chain/AASB). I'm not as sure about magic, I have Exdeath (Sync/AASB) and Golbez (Chain/Sync) but I'm not sure about my 3rd. It'll be someone with just an awakening, either Raines, Nabaat, Kuja, or someone I'm forgetting.

Good point, I forgot about the IV labyrinth.

Ultimecia would definitely help, although I was leaning toward one of the ATB syncs I don't have, which means either Red or Tidus 2. If I take Red then I also don't need another earth sync here so that would mean either Alphinaud or Onion Knight.

I need help picking my sync selection. I looked ahead to the next fest and the banners look kinda bad to me overall. Banner 1 is probably the best but banner 3 is second and has Maria's sync on it (and Dyad). So I'm not sure if I should take Maria now, although I also don't want to wait 3 months to beat Kalavinka Striker.

Anyway, my main options:
Maria - helps beat Kalavinka Striker now, and would help my weak II team for Bahamut.

Onion Knight - would give me a magic water character with sync & awakening, the only one I'd have besides Edge. Also I haven't even beaten the III dreambreaker yet. I also have his dyad.

Rydia - also helps with Kalavinka Striker, but probably a bit worse than Maria, but I like her more.

Alphinaud - The next Labyrinth boss is weak to wind and my magic wind team is bad. I have Alphi's chain and awakening... the downside is I have his healing sync and you can't bring both at the same time. Also I doubt I could beat Sandworm even with this, I'd need to get another sync somewhere.

(banner 4) 2/11 - Y'shtola Dyad and awakening
2/11 - Zidane Dyad and Glint

Pretty good pulls. The instant Papalymo pull is cool, getting both makes him good enough for my fire team and helps XIV a lot. The biggest disappointments are missing Galuf and Relm completely. Gotta figure out how to get past Kalavinka Striker with what I have. Getting Zidane's Dyad is cool, I'm pretty loaded for Sandworm with Zidane's dyad/sync/awakening and the same for Cloud. Bartz probably doesn't make the team even with Sync and awakenings 1&2.

At this point I think I'm just doing my daily labyrinth skip until the end of the season... aside from trying Kalavinka Striker more after I do my banner 5 pulls. The equipment I got is good enough, I'm not going to spend a lot of time trying to get optimal passives for characters I rarely use. I am really hoping I get Galuf's sync and/or awakening on b5 since his awakening #1 just isn't that great. And on magic having another cap break would help a lot so I'm going to grab Maria's sync with stamps.

I did three wandering Gilgameshes today - VIII, XIII, and XV were all relatively easy because I have good teams. I think I'm probably just going to leave I and XII until next time since my teams aren't good and there aren't great rewards for them.

2/11 - Serah glint x2

I'm also thinking about doing a pull on b3 although I kinda think this banner is still better for me. The only major want for b3 is OK's sync, the other stuff is more nice to have. Whereas getting one of Relm's things here would be a good boost for my VI team and Serah sync / Y'shtola sync / awakening would be nice. Although I've heard Y'shtola isn't that good at dealing damage... I need the help for XIV. Anyway, probably going to wait until after I pull on b5.

BTW pretty happy about Vivi's sync, I love the little guy and he's now easily on my lightning team and probably ice too (especially if I get a chain for Serah or Rinoa instead of having to use Laguna)

Geez, the Spiraling Depths is ridiculous. I did 66-70 today, couldn't auto it. Not that hard to do manually, but he was ridiculously bulky and there's still six more tiers after this.

Then, I agree most of the best USBs not in the shop are healer USBs. So that's a good choice unless there's one you know you want for a specific reason (like I'm considering Quina so they can be more useful as a physical support, it's probably that or Aria's newest USB.)

I only tried a couple times so far but I'm having trouble getting out of phase 1 before sleep hits. I'm like half a second late. Need to figure out a way around that. (My backup plan is Quina's astra USB once I get enough stamps to select a USB)

Definitely worth it for the heroes you're going to use (aka Red XIII). Just getting a full set of his equipment gives you most of the benefits, then like SSJSephirothGokuX123 you can upgrade the passive abilities later.

I'm definitely going to try, I have Sync+Awakening for Noctis and Gladiolus, and I have Iris's awakening and good USB/G+. The 4th character is probably Ignis, his damage isn't that great but I think he's better than Prompto since I can't take advantage of lightning imperiling (I do have awakenings for both). Quina or Orran for support.

Hero artifacts can also be used to augment other level 99 hero artifacts while rainbow crystals can't. So I guess the question is whether you're more worried about running out of rainbow crystals or about max augmenting your hero artifacts. Max augment is just +20 main stat on top of the already high amount.

I got a few awakenings off various tickets in the last couple days: Raijin, Fusoya, and Yuffie. I might try to fit Yuffie into my earth team, the others probably won't get used.

The team was Tidus, Edge, Rikku, Quina, and Elarra. I did get 400k from Tidus's LBO and some damage from his AOSB.

Edge was on my lightning team too but he was doing a lot more for water, probably because of imperils vs increased resistance.

Yeah, I was using Lightning's sync, saving the awakening for the second part of the fight. I wasn't going to use the combo because it overwrites lightning infusion with holy. Anyway, don't need to worry about that again for a while.

I don't have either of Tidus's syncs but I do have Rikku's Dyad now, and Quina can also attack and break the cap with her sync ability on that one.

So, for some reason lightning weak wasn't easy for me at all, my damage was terrible even under max chain and Quina Sync. I did water-weak instead and crushed it, even though I forgot to equip Tidus's dyad, and failed to account for berserk/death. I would think that one must be the easiest especially if you actually prepare for those attacks.

Cool, I'll do that one. I bit the bullet and finally took out magic-weak Ifrit for the 6* magicite mission. I'd been sitting on that one for a long time because he was such a pain... 16/16 now.
