I think so, but the only thing that matters with starting generics / recruits is their Brave and Faith. Pretty much every unit comes out of the gate with enough Chemist JP to learn Potion and Phoenix Down right away, so there's no reason to lock them into their starting jobs. If for instance you get a Squire with higher Faith than your starting Chemists, switch their jobs before the first fight begins.

Chapter 1 is kind of an exception, since you have two guests for a lot of it (Delita and Argath). During this stretch, you can deploy up to 4 units (including Ramza), so three generics.

For the remainder of the game after chapter 1, you can deploy 5 total units (so Ramza and 4 generics). When you have a guest character though, the game will only allow you to deploy 4 total units.

Remind me, how many people are in your default (non-guest) team in Chapter 1? Is it Ramza and 6 others?

iirc The Hulk has no cap on his strength. He can get infinitely stronger depeneding on how angry he is.

Silver Age Superman is also limitless, but modern Superman I think has a limit to how strong he can be.

Couldnt there be a cap on his anger?

Back in the day I'd agree, but my Baldur's Gate 3 on Series S is unplayable due to how often it crashes. Maybe I shouldn't have a game like that on S, but I've never heard that.

its not all that common in jrpgs actually because the characters kinda have to kill in them alot

infact many jrpgs have that as a plot point how hard it is to kill someone and what it means to take a life

and the reason i hate shulk so much is xenoSAGA is one of my fave game stories ever

and shion is such a well written protagonist in those games

i went in expecting a story that could hit me like that

and i get this generic shonen speachifying instead

I read that Nick Jr imported a bunch of their early 90s cartoons, maybe from the same country, including I think the Koala shows. Maya The Bee was another. Grimm's Fairy Tales obviously being from Japan

Like Ive said, the dynamic in Texas is weird. You have a MAGA governor whos bad even by Republican standards (or maybe close to normal at this point), a Lt Gov whos even worse, and an AG whos worse than him.

I like how calls him "Gay Bowser" to signal his interest.

Even though it was less of a comedy than some later ones, the scene where she's about to throw him into the fire and he drops his creepy act and just starts swearing at her is simultaneously scary and hilarious.

I just saw it's on Max, might have to check it out this weekend.

Some have said it was an attempt make the scale feel even larger, though it also might just be because of Perfect Works, with episodes 2-4 being the previous incarnations. There was some thought 1 was going to be Xenosaga, obviously because of both the name and subtitle, but that it seemed to be more a spiritual successor, probably for legal reasons.

I actually posted the intro in another thread a few days ago.

I considered it pretty great at the time, but it has a lot of issues. Awesome soundtrack, great atmosphere, and pretty good gameplay... but the story really is a mess. Some interesting sci-fi ideas, but the pacing was bad, only about 3 of the 44 playable characters had any development after they join, and it basically was to Chrono Trigger what the The Last Jedi was to the OT (yes, some may consider that a positive).

I'd still probably give it an 8/10 for the positives, though. And if anyone says I shouldn't criticize messy story games due to my username... I think it has way more issues than Xenogears, and that's not a nostalgia thing, since I played them at the same time with high expectations for both.

At first I thought you meant next year about the BBB act, but yeah this is different. Funny how they both coincide with elections

The new testament is more worthwhile. I kinda think that Christianity should not have ever cared about the old testament. Maybe it wasn't meant to originally but some people realized it would grow faster as a religion if it was linked to an older tradition. To give it more legitimacy

That's sort of connects to Gnosticism, given what they consider the God of the Old Testament to be.
