They're barely violent, at least by today's standards. No complaints, just an observation.

Yeah, though part of it was because the MPA was way more strict about violence back then. When they released them in theaters they had to edit out a lot of the gore to get them into theaters. Some movies suffered this worse than others (VII in particular is mostly ruined by this; that one got hacked to pieces so bad your average MCU movie has more blood in it).

And I only really saw the first one, which was supposed to be the best. I mean... it was all right, but even for what it was it was kind of mid (possibly the first time I've used that term).

the first one is the best? it doesn't even have jason until the very end.

honestly the best was jason x, followed closely by freddy vs jason.

it varies a lot, but 1, 2, 4 and 6 are the ones usually seen as the best. 6 is my favorite personally but I feel 90% of fans of the series will say their favorite is one of those four. it really depends on what you like. I would argue 1 has the best tension, despite having no Jason.

after that, 3, 7 and the remake are usually considered ok. 5 and 10 are so-bad-it's-good, and most people tend to really hate 8 and 9
