Consoles have many levels of DRM built in.
There is hardware based DRM, software based DRM, the operating system is signed, the software is signed, basically every single element of a modern operating system has some kind of DRM or security associated with it, all the way from bootup all the way to starting your game.

I'm well versed in how you design a system that has this level of security, as I've done it myself before =).

For being a system I only see myself buying Pokemon for, I rate the Switch Lite (and only the Lite) an A because I actually enjoy it from a feature perspective.
