Yes, that selling to children is what people are upset about. Not whose face they put on the can. The VP of Budweiser said she wanted to leave behind the frat image of the beer and market to younger customers. So... younger than college age.

Pretty hip. I like sloped entries, but it would be nice if 2 sides where sloped for entry, and 2 sides where the "deep end" that had traditional sides and a corner or 2 to lean on.

I like the free form design better. It reminds me more of a natural body of water. 90 degree edges aren't cute to me.

Looks nice. The only things I would wonder are:
1) If you're standing in the deep part would you have something to lean against (and set your drink on) or are the bottom/sides always curved?
2) I would hope that the umbrellas/etc could be moved around to provide direct shade when I'd like it.

It hit 88 in Minnesota yesterday (after snowing a foot two weeks ago) so I'm ready for that to show up in my backyard. :)

It's sloped like a beach/ocean.

How does one have the conversation with a friend that hey they should stop completely? They went to rehab for around two months, but now that they are out they kinda just drink a little less or even the same as before.

You don't. It's not your choice. Your choice is to either be their friend in their current state or don't to protect your mental health. You can gently tell them you think they should stop drinking but why is your place to tell someone what to do? It's a shitty situation but that's the reality.

that's typically only if they're using nintendo assets to make their own fan gam, like the pokemon uranium or another metroid 2 remake, for example.

someone making a video talking about how they're excited for such and such, or like, a video explaining lore, not so much because if anything it just uses clips from various games which should count as fair use but nintendo will not give in under any circumstances. it's free publicity, essentially, and they just "no"

i can understand taking down negative things, or rips of their music, but it's the positive things that i understand less

Oh yeah that's ridiculous. Are they successful DCMA take downs? Do people appeal them?

Right...but I still say it's exploitative. Why should it cost hundreds of dollars (and a court action) to file a document? I don't believe they review it in any substantive way other than checking the notary stamp (i.e. sealed wills are a thing) and it requires a court action to process it after opening anyways.

Oh well.

Because our court system fucking sucks and is not very accessible to people who aren't wealthy

I dunno, I went to a site like that a few years ago and tried to do it and there was a $500 charge involved to file it through the appropriate lawyer or something at the end of it anyways. Maybe a state thing...or maybe I looked at the wrong sites.

Yeah because if you just look up the required language you can draft it and file it yourself. But there are filing fees and court charges still so it's not free.

What annoys me is that - for some reason - I can't download a will template, write something ("I leave everything to my wife...or kids equally if we both die"), get it notarized, and file it somewhere. It seems as if it's impossible to do without paying a lawyer an absolute minimum of $500 to do...nothing in particular.

I had a father-in-law die and it cost $500 or somesuch to go to probate court to get his assets split evenly between three kids. He had no will.

My mother-in-law died and she had a will...and it cost $500 or somesuch to go to probate court to get it executed.

Long story short wills are scams that exist to give money to lawyers unless there's no obvious next of kin or other family disagreement...at least so far as I can tell.

I'm pretty sure you can do it yourself? And file it? Just the way you want to?

https://www.freewill.com/learn/how-to-make-a-will-without-a-lawyer

Maybe it's state specific though.
