Meltzer is saying that the pitch to Adam Cole on the main roster was to be the manager of a heel Keith Lee.

On one hand, Vince is so out of touch that I absolutely believe it.

On the other hand, Cole described WWE's offer as very generous, so I have a hard time believing Vince would want to pay a lot of money for a manager.

My belief is that it was Vinces original idea that he obviously had to toss out once he was in a bidding war

Wasnt just Vince either. Bruce Pritchard and Johnny Ace supposedly want to make sure they keep power over Triple H because theyre pretty sure theyre gone if he ever takes over, so they encourage Vince down this path

On Wrestling Observer Live during a discussion about this weeks episode of NXT and the impending changes to the overall product, Bryan Alvarez said that he has heard from people in WWE who are telling him that the new NXT will be produced by Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard.

Alvarez said, Like anything, anything can change, anything is possible but I talked a while ago about how were gonna have a new NXT. Its gonna be like the old NXT. I have heard from several people now that when they go back to live shows, this is going to be a Vince McMahon-Bruce Prichard production.

Yeah but no one other than the people I mentioned above will keep watching. They simply won't. People are ALREADY pretty fed up. My girlfriend's mom is a big mark, Roman Reigns fan. And all she could say the other night was how she wished Roman would go to AEW so she didn't have to see him fight the same people over and over.

I think its a combo of giving him however much time he needs and restructuring the show if he goes over time being preferable to giving him a hard curfew at 11 and potentially rushing him, and also wanting to make sure everyone who tuned in was immediately happy instead of just wanting these other matches to hurry up and end
