Dunno if the story is true, but that is in fact a very real thing. I have also known someone with a background of abuse conditioned to lie as their first reflex, and sometimes struggles to be honest because they subconsciously connect "telling the truth" with "danger."

You have touched on so much in this one post that I havent even mentioned. They were abused growing up in ways I wouldnt repeat because 1) its someone elses privacy and 2) this is gamefaqs. And supposedly theyve been conditioned to lie as well for many reasons... 1) to cover the abuse, 2) their mother was a raging liar, and 3) fear of danger due to telling the truth.

Okay! So I made a post about an employee that is constantly lying. Well today she told me that shes been going to therapy, and that she believes she sabotages good things like relationships or, like in this case, a job because theyre not use to good happening to them. Supposedly.

I dont know whether to believe her and feel pity for her or... if its just another one of her lies.

Has anyone heard of any mess like this? A person intentionally sabotaging good things because theyre not use to it or feel they dont deserve it?

It was worth a shot. Those outlets do have a shelf life of about 10 years. When you mentioned a bedroom and 1 bathroom went out - it was my first thought.

If you flip the breaker on/off, does anything turn on and off or does the breaker do nothing now? If it does nothing, then you likely have some issue with the breaker. If something is turning on and off, you probably have a bad GFCI or faulty wiring somewhere.

I switched breaker... messed with GFCI... nothing still.

Depending on how new your home is, you might have a GFCI outlet in your bathroom somewhere. Sometimes, houses are wired where a whole series of outlets / lights are wired after the GFCI outlet and if it trips, it takes everything else down the line out.

See if you can find one and press the 'reset' button:

You might've gotten the wrong breaker potentially? I'd just get an electrician in there. But maybe the wire itself needs replacing somewhere. You're better off getting someone who has the tools. Tracer etc.

I have an employee that lies a lot. Weve been working through this issue and shes actually doing better. But she tells me that its hard for her and when she does tell the truth she gets anxiety. She says because its not the norm for her, and her body is rejecting the truth.

Anyone seen or heard anything like this before?
Anything I can do to make it better?

Forcing yourself to the gym, and finding some tail is my only advice.

Problem is that depending on how depressed you are, getting to the gym might be easier said than done.

Furthermore, searching for ass and failing might further depress you. But its a numbers game.

Alright as a kid I would go hunting with dad.

Being up at 5am... in the freezing cold... wanting to see a deer and gtfo was tough. Youd eventually start seeing things like quick movements out the corners of your eyes. It was just your brain playing tricks on you cause you so desperately want to kill the damn thing and go.

But this was during sunset. And after being out for so long your brain/eyes would take note of straight lines like that of a car. Hell, even the color and shine of a car would stick out too.

When I was 15 I had a boxing trainer.

One day instead of going to the gym he just began to tell me how he had a dream about me. And then it got really nasty from there.

He then proceeded to tell me that Im lucky he asked because if he wanted to he could just knock me out and take it. Being a 15 year old, I slammed my hands on the table and welcomed him to try it in pure teenage fashion.

I then reported it to the police via dads friend.
