I had a lot of fun with the Druid but now I'm running through as an Assassin and honestly I think I might be having more fun. Only class I haven't played yet is the Paladin.

Necro was up there without a doubt. That was my first roll for a D2 character. I got to the very end and simply wasn't strong enough to beat Diablo. I wasn't using a guide and had never played before and didn't really know what I was doing. I knew the game was something special when I got the end but literally couldn't beat it. No other game like it.

Druid, you got magic, pets and melee.

Probably necromancer, nvn was some of the most fun Ive had gaming in general.

Barbarian for sure. I love that the beefy melee class has the same casting frames as the primary spellcaster.

druid was fun too. paladin is probably 4th because pissing off duelers with high level thorns aura was amazing.

Paladin then Necro.

With the Pally you can mow down mobs like nothing with a good weapon combined with a Zealot build (plus it's fun to charge across the map cuz gotta go fast) and unlike most other classes you can't get gimped with elemental damage because you have an all-purpose resistance aura barring poison.

With Necro the playstyle changes quite a bit based on what kind of build you do which makes for good variety but with a build based on summons a.k.a Summoner I like how tactical you have to end up playing to make use of your 4 main curses to support your summons then you spam corpse explosion and clear the whole screen.

I played a ton of Paladin back in the day. He was pretty much the definition of a support character though, Aura's weren't much use unless you had people to use them with, especially thorn and having one or two barbarians in the party to absorb damage.

I also liked the Necromancer, but I found his most fun build (and army of skeletons) wasn't as useful once you got past normal mode.

Always had fun with Necromancer, but Amazon was the strongest.

The Paladin and Sorceress are and have always been my most used, but that's mostly because of how useful they are. They're not the most exciting classes tbqh.

I was always shit with the Barb and found it rather boring.

Amazons are good but not my favorite. They have a variety of builds at least.

The Necro, Druid and Assassin are the most fun I think.

I'm leaning towards the Assassin actually. The Whirlwind Assassin is possibly my favorite ever build. Trap Assassins are powerful and fun. Kickers are cool. Assassins also make great hybrids too (e.g. WW/Trap).

The good thing about the Assassin is that its builds require a bit more more input compared to the more cookie-cutter classes/builds. They're a lot of fun to use.

Barbarian? Idk, I can't remember

Definitely monk in d3, just dashing around and using the bell move to make things die. Think my hardcore monk was T5 or 6 at least

Edit: ahh yeah I remember, the monk was about the sun wukong set and sweeping wind bonuses too. Too much fun

Yeah, casters are just more fun in Diablo.
