it's either a scan ending after being unable to parse, or possibly something stemming from something weird I noticed when rebuilding the new script, that I couldn't rely on a single run actually going through every topic for some reason and thus my old feature of stopping the scan after reading ~20 old topics lead to some skips

hard to really tell until I find a currently active topic that isn't getting updated, but I did remove that feature the other day

It's funny you say "expectations" are not evidence when those expectations are based on actual decisions by Nintendo in releasing Wii U ports for Switch constantly.

I mean the only evidence for a port is people's expectations and the time since the last game, which are both very bad excuses. Everything about the actual reveal is 100% new game and 0% port.

Expectations is self-explanatory, but time reason is nullified by the fact Brawl and Smash 4 only had 2-3 years of dev time.

Brawl development began Oct 2005, released Jan 2008 (~2 years)

That brings us to why I've started this new site. I was recently put in charge of creating a Super Smash Bros. title for Wii. Development started in October 2005. Scheduled for release in 2007. It feels like we've only just begun, but we are hard at work on it. - Dojo

Smash 4 development began after Kid Icarus Uprising finished early 2012, released mid-2014 (~2.5 years) and late-2014 (~3 years, concurrent with 3ds)

I'm currently concentrating on one title, Kid Icarus. Until this wraps up, Smash Bros. will not progress. Of course, characters have not been decided at all.

Final Smash DLC was early 2016, by the end of 2018 it'll be 3 years passed. Given the Wii U's flopping and Switch success there's ample reason for development of a new title on Switch to be expedited, but even this dev time isn't much shorted if at all than Smashes of the past, especially considering how we aren't moving up to HD this time.

Rock Band 2 Wii had DLC, as did even WiiWare games

FF4:TAY was basically all DLC, 800 points was the base game and then further chapters were 800 and a bunch of 300 points for character focused chapters

Wii games with DLC had this orange logo on the top left

I guess I should have expected that.

That's one of those games that I legitimately liked the concept of, but after reading about the final boss I lost interest in it.

Sylux had been hinted as the future of Prime for a loooong time (MP3 in 2007) so Federation Force brought it up again. Interviews about Prime 4 suggest he'll indeed be involved.

Fits to finally give Metroid a 3rd (technically 2nd >_>) rep, while also working as an advertisement for the upcoming game.

.... or Sakurai can say fuck it and make the 3rd Metroid character a 3rd Samus, Dark Samus should be easy to differentiate from Samus.
