Personally, I let my fingernails grow for a few days, and then I scratch the mosquito bites vigorously until they burst open a little bit. Just kinda shaving down a few layers of skin until they get juicy. It's never from blood though, it's just juicy from pus and a clear watery substance that was saturating the mosquito bite. Then after a few hours, the little clear scabbie hardens. And then I rip it off with such delight. This sometimes gets the wound to actually bleed now. Which makes a legit blood scab. Which I also then rip off, with much delight. This creates another scab. And another scab. Each mosquito bite can usually get me anywhere from 5-10 decent deep scabs to dig up. Eventually the skin gets so pink/purple that it will no longer scab. And then, after a few months....the "scarred" area fades away into the rest of my skin around it. And you can't even see it.

It was a fun ride. Thank you, Mrs. Mosquito.

(note how I said "Mrs." because only female mosquitoes bite. How typical, eh bros!? **holds hand up for a high five he will never actually receive**)

Okay....so I'm sitting here on the couch with my cat. He's a sweet little bug. Almost 2 years old. I've been with him since he was a tiny tiny kitten. I've lived in two different places since owning him. Neither of those two places had a doorbell.

So I'm watching a movie....and there's a scene where someone rings a doorbell.

When that scene happened, my cat perked up and immediately looked at the door to my apartment.

Now, yer probably thinking it was just a loud sound that startled him and he just kinda looked in the direction of the door, trying to find the source of the sound. Yer thinking my cat didn't associate the sound with it being an actual doorbell and it was just a coincidence.

But no. It wasn't a loud sound at all. Nothing worth startling him. There were loud sudden bangs of gunfire and explosions in this movie too and he didn't care about them at all. But that doorbell got his attention big time. The way some dogs make associations with words like, "walk?!" and they run for the door all excited.

I swear, my cat knew what a doorbell was. And knew it meant someone was at the door.

But he's never been in that situation in his entire life! No doorbell experiences.

I think he experienced doorbells in a past life.

As for me....it reminded me of when I was learning to drive way back when. It was my first time behind a wheel. It was an Isuzu bronco looking thing. Automatic.

I remember driving it around, and then I needed to go in reverse for the first time in the parking lot....and my mom was sitting next to me (since I only had my permit) and I vividly remember reaching my right hand up to grab for the shifter to kick the vehicle into reverse. Only my hand passed through thin air, because there was no shifter there...

And I remember my mom kinda gasped a bit, and said, "You drove a truck before!?"

And I was like, "What?"

And she pointed out, "You just tried to shift from the wheel..."

The Isuzu's shifter was below and in the middle between both seats like in most cars.

My brain expected it to be by the wheel. Like muscle memory. I was so certain it was there. Even though I had never driven before.

Now, yer probably thinking....it was because I probably saw it in a movie or something when I was a little kid, and my brain made that association to how you are supposed to drive, because all kids want to drive. And you might be right. But, at the same time, I don't recall any movie having such a profound effect on me. My brain just wanted to go in reverse and my hand knew where it needed to go....

from a past life or some shit.

Anyway.....

cocaine.

Lifelike Virtual Reality would be sooooo much better. Especially if it's the truly "Matrix" kind that is directly integrated with our brains and nervous systems.

Can you even begin to imagine all the pleasure and fun we could experience???

Your wildest dreams could be a reality.

Entire simulations designed to make you feel like you can fly. Jump super high. Feelings of excitement and adventure. And that's not even getting into the sexual stuff.

If it's truly integrated with our brains and nervous systems, it wouldn't just be sights and sounds. There would be all those other sensations.

Feelings of gravity and vertigo (but not the unpleasant kinds). Smell and taste. Temperature. Flying over a desert like Superman and feeling the heat of it all, then diving down into cool waters. True Video Game God Mode. With nothing to worry about.

VR would be heaven.

A combination of extermination and military recruitment.

The ones that willingly sign up for military service (or can be manipulated, tortured, bargained with to work for the military) will be rewarded. The ones that don't want to cooperate will be exterminated.

Didn't you get the memo, Zeus?

Disagreeing with someone is exactly what makes them unqualified.

Everyone on the planet has to agree with them, otherwise they are unfit for the position.

Also, if the candidate doesn't share the same opinions as you, they are a rape-apologizing, bigoted, mansplaining, Nazi.

And if they have the audacity to question you about your own opinion....it is clearly hate speech and they should be arrested and/or assaulted.

Just because you have people that disagree with you, doesn't mean you aren't qualified to do the job (and do it well).

See? That's the thing a lot of people can't wrap their mind around.

You CAN be perfectly qualified to do your job....while still having people disagree with you.

What ultimately matters is: Do enough people agree with you to vote you in?

Well.

As much as the media and Hollywood claimed to hate Trump....guess what? Most Americans (who actually got off their ass and voted) thought he was the best candidate.

And guess what? Most of the Senate could see through the bullshit and knew Kavanaugh was perfectly qualified.

Yes. This is another weird thread of mine. Feel free to ignore it. Or whine about it. Either way: I love you.

So yeah. There's this thing I see all the time, and it's strange. I wonder if there's some kind of evolutionary purpose for it. Help me out. Because I'm puzzled.

You meet someone new. A new friend of a friend. Or a new group. Maybe you decided to join the local adult baseball team. Maybe it's a group project in college. Maybe you just got a new job at some accounting firm. Maybe you got a new roommate in college. Maybe a new kid started at your school. Either way....you currently find yourself surrounded by new people reasonably close to the same age as you....

They might ask what your name is. Ask where you're from. Small talk stuff. Getting-to-know-you-jazz. Real basic communication foreplay.

....But then something really bizarre starts happening. Almost always:

After they've set some real basic grounds for communication with you......what's one of the first thing they start doing?

Sarcastically insulting you.

Oh, it might be subtle as hell at first.....but then it's quite blatant.

Teasing you.

Taunting you.

Pointing out your physical flaws.

Laughing things off.

Have any of you ever experienced this? It's kinda subtle. But sometimes not so subtle at all. It's clearly them just seeing what you are willing to tolerate and what you will not. And if they cross any kind of line that seems to genuinely offend you, what's that infamous line they always say next? "Hah, I was only kidding, bro."

Why do you think so many humans do this? Especially humans under the age of 30.

Is it human's subconscious way of weeding out weaklings in the pack somehow? Is it measuring how passive someone to see how easily they can be manipulated to benefit you somehow? Is it just pure sadism? I've never understood it.

And you probably think I'm just making this shit up right now, or grossly exaggerating it somehow. But now that you are aware of what I'm talking about....keep an eye out for it. Maybe you'll be more tuned into it now and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about. It's everywhere. Fascinates me.

It's almost like people are afraid to be too nice to one another for too long, because kindness is somehow an expression of weakness.

I dunno. Don't mind me. Cocaine.

They took such a massive shit on Venom in Spider-Man 3. It was extremely offensive. He's such a cool character, and they made him into such an afterthought for the movie. And Topher Grace is about as much Eddie Brock as Oprah Winfrey is Black Widow. Just a terrible decision.

Just from the trailers alone, even if Tom Hardy's Venom has a cheesy story and cringe-worthy writing.....at least the character LOOKS and SOUNDS the part for the first time in cinematic history. Took them long enough.

Well.....to be fair....movies like A Star Is Born are usually only watched by a smaller percentage of people.

Chicks who drag their boyfriends to go see it. Music majors. Older folk who can't keep up with high action movies because it hurts their eyes and brain.

Not a lot of women would go and see a movie like A Star Is Born by themselves.

But there are a LOT of guys who would gladly go see Venom by themselves, or as a large group of friends.

I didn't say that. I just called you out on you forcing your ignorance on the subject on to other people.

"Literally no one" is definitely hyperbole, but be honest with yourself - he's right that the vast majority of people who care about the issue couldn't tell you jack shit about his actual legal positions or outlook, and what his likely stances on future issues would be.

To the average voter - to most average voters - this is pretty much solely a question of whether or not he's guilty of what he's been accused of, and beyond that, he's nothing but a name and a face.

And as has also been pointed out, to most people, whatever the evidence suggests or investigation uncovers is immaterial, because most people's assumptions about his guilt or innocence hinge almost entirely on which side of the political line you consider "your team", and which side is "the enemy".

To paraphrase a quote I can't remember the exact wording of at the moment, "For those who believe there can be no doubt, for those who doubt there can be no proof."

Exactly. Glad you could see what I meant. I guess I shouldnt have said "literally no one" and just said "practically no one"...lol.

And holy shit your quote at the end. That is an extremely powerful quote. I'll have to look up the source, because that's some very heavy shit. Very relevant to today's society.

It's funny, because so many people who opposed Kavanaugh from the beginning....were always saying "Why doesn't he just let them do a FBI investigation!?!?!"

Well...the FBI investigated.

Now what if they turned up nothing and just concluded that he is innocent? Would those people be satisfied then? Of course not. Because it will never be enough.

The mere fact that he was EVER accused at all, immediately made him suspect in their eyes. Not worthy of being on the supreme court.

Nothing could be said or done to convince them otherwise.

It's a sad day in politics when both parties are using it as a centerpiece to avoid all other issues surrounding the man.

Literally no one knows anything that Kavanaugh stands for as a Supreme Court judge right now.

No facts.

ONLY EMOTION.

"Do you want an alleged rapist on the Supreme Court!!?!?!!"

"If you vote him in, YOU support rape!!!"

It's become this ridiculous game now.

The left knows that the claims were impossible to prove, but it was enough to vilify him in the eyes of those who vote blue, and that if they convinced enough people that the right selected a rapist as a supreme court judge, that would be the push they need for their 'blue wave'.

^^^^And that right there infuriates me so much that I want him to get the seat just to spite the fuckers who tried to take him down with ancient allegations to pull on the heartstrings of America in the era of #MeToo. It was insulting to real sexual assault victims.

Just look how many people showed up to protest him yesterday. So many people who felt 100% (in their hearts) that he was guilty, even though they knew nothing about him and saw no evidence. They were so CERTAIN he was a rapist. Because the media holds that power over us all.

Just a bunch of god damn sheep bumping around in the fucking dark.

I hated the way he would chainsmoke and get drunk in the living room for hours on end, while yelling at the TV because his team was either winning or losing. No matter what they were doing, he would yell at the TV. It made me feel unwelcome in my own home, and I often had to escape because the environment was so toxic. So my brother and I spent a lot of of time outside.

And then his football game would finish....and he'd roll into a Nascar race that would last 4 fucking hours.

Edit: also, @GreenKnight127. DVD players didnt come out until the late 90s. They definitely didnt exist in 1995.

You sure??? I mean, the technology for the Sega Saturn and PS1 existed.

Weren't there DVD movies then? I mean, they woulda been cutting edge. But they had to be out there somewhere.

Maybe 1996 or 1997 instead?

Either way, I never considered going to an ancient flea market and finding a dvd player constructed in the late 1990's to see, out of curiosity, if it could even play Avengers Infinity War.

lol

And totally confused by the ludicrous proliferation of commercial superheroes.

What's confusing about it? People have loved comics for ages now. And we finally have the technology to make them quite realistic on the big screen. Super awesome stuff. Even if you don't like the cheesy dialogue and extremely simple storylines, the aesthetics alone are breathtaking.

If you time-traveled back to 1995 and showed someone Avengers: Infinity War, they'd probably have a nervous breakdown.

Which also makes me wonder about DVD technology....and time travel....

I mean, DVD players existed in 1995. And you could get a basic DVD version of Avengers: Infinity War today....so I wonder if you took that disc back to 1995, if DVD players would even be able to play it yet....I mean, it's just a dvd, right? Not a blu-ray or anything. It should be able to play it. But technology is crazy complicated.

I wonder if how we encode DVD's in 2018 is different than how the players would physically be able to read the disc in 1995. Because it would be technology that is way ahead. DVD player might be all freaked out.

Catch on fire.

Personally, I always thought it would be the trippiest thing in the world to go back to the 1990's....with a blu-ray player and a copy of Avatar....and kidnap James Camerson. Lock him in a room with a TV. Make him watch his own movie from the future.

Because I've seen interviews. He's had the whole story of Avatar cooking around in his mind since the late 80's. He just knew the technology didn't exist yet to make it.

So then for him to see it. Including his name in the credits.....what a trip that would be. To see his dream come to life before he himself was able to make it come to life.

T-t-t-t-t-time paradoxxxx.....

I've heard some blips about it. Not very good things. Kinda concerned. But I really want to decide for myself. Plus, I love Venom. And the CGI (from the trailers anyway) looks promising. Sure as hell beats the crap Spider-Man 3 gave us. **shudders**

I think the only thing that might suck about it is tonal shifts. Trying to be too serious one moment, and then too funny the next. Identity crisis. But I guess that might also make sense in a bipolar kinda way, considering the functionality of the symbiote. I dunno.

I really want it to succeed....because I really really really really want an R-rated Carnage movie sooner rather than later.

It was a scenario to illustrate my point, bruh.

If someone called you a rapist with no evidence, and conveniently timed it around the time your big movie was premiering, I would be skeptical as hell and adamantly defend you until actual evidence came forward to prove otherwise.

Do you not think I should do that?

Is it wrong to defend someone and see them as innocent until proven guilty?

That should be the default setting for all humans.

The fact that it's not is extremely fucking disturbing.

You hit the big times.

And right when yer starting to get used to the view from Cloud 9...........then someone from your past accuses you (very publicly) of being a rapist.

Oh, and they conveniently decided to wait until one week before the premiere of your latest movie. Your magnum opus that everyone has been psyched about for years. Something you've put everything you have into.

It would absolutely be incredibly unnerving for just about anyone

Do you want "just about anyone" as a supreme court judge?

Do you honestly care about how every member on the Supreme Court behaved when they were in high school?

Like right now. The current Supreme Court. Do you care who they were or how they acted in high school? Do you even KNOW any members of the Supreme Court without needing to Google it?

Do you think they should be allowed on the Supreme Court if they got a speeding ticket? What if they cheated on their spouse? What if they never donated to charity in their entire life? What if they like to buy lottery tickets every week? What if they smoke weed from time to time in a state where smoking weed is legal?

When the fuck did America turn into such a pussified nation that is obsessed with moral superiority???

I swear, that's all the internet is now. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram...99% of message boards. Just a cesspool of people pretending to be outraged by stuff. Enough with the act. I'm not buying it.

I know for a fact that if we hung out in person, in the real, physical world.....we'd be joking about all kinds of inappropriate shit. Doesn't make us bad people. Just makes us human.

I must be in the minority here, but I'd want people on the Supreme Court who are qualified for the job. And also human. Imperfect. Maybe made some mistakes in their youth. Learned from them. Grew from them. Became different people. Better people.

When you are in your 50's, do you want some idiots judging you for how you behaved when you were a teenager??? That's messed up.

Stop virtue-signalling.

I wish more people would embrace the solitary/sexless lifestyle. It's healthier and safer. Especially when you are younger (high school/college years).

Sadly, nature programmed our bodies to be in their physical prime....while our brains are still quite immature and ridiculously unstable.

Kids in high school that have 10 sexual partners or more before they graduate are absolutely disgusting, in my opinion. No concept of what love, loyalty, or even basic empathy are. Yet they have no problem engaging in an activity that quite literally creates life.

Young couples having babies.....that ultimately end in a nasty break-up, and now you got a kid with major reactive attachment disorder. Mom's bringing home a different boyfriend every month (because that's all she knows), and dad is barely in the kid's life because he hates his ex.

You need to be alone for a while and figure out who you are. Why are so few people capable of handling that?

It also speaks volumes of your insecurity if you are incapable of being single for extended periods of time.

American culture is almost disturbingly OBSESSED with sex and relationships. If you don't have either of those things....you might as well go kill yourself, because you are a "loser" apparently.

Because breeding is what validates existence, right?

Wrong.

Breeding creates existence.

But it isn't why you should exist.

Probably die from some ridiculous bacteria/viral/fungal infection within days.

And also cause the deaths of thousands from all the weird future germs that are lingering on my clothes and skin that people from the past never built immunity to.

Seriously.

Does anyone ever think about that?

Like, time travel germs.

We got so much crap on our skin....can you imagine how it could potentially mess with all the germs of the past? We have so many new strains now. Of everything. Everywhere. That whole microscopic world that had to evolve past all these immunizations and modern medicine, becoming super powerful. Take one little flu virus from 2018 into the 1930's.....and it might be another global plague. Scientists would be all confused when they look at it under a microscope, because it would be immune to so much shit. More evolved than anything else on the planet.

Take one amoeba back a couple decades, and it could probably do some serious damage in nature. Throw off the whole microscopic ecosystem.

Germs be floating up to new germs like, "Brruuuuhhh! Where'd you get that funky protein cilia from!?!?!"

And he's all like, "Duuuude. 2018!!!"

And bruh's like, *vibrates* "Whooaaaa!"

An ALLEGED crime. That was never tried in court. With no evidence. Or conviction.

I don't like Kavanaugh/Trump yet I can wholeheartedly say that this entire ordeal is a farce. The accuser is the definition of a hag just looking for attention/trying to smear a man's name. It's hilarious that this was even taken seriously without a shred of evidence, but given how many male feminists there are in the west, it's no surprise to me that this sort of thing is acceptable.

I completely agree with you.

However, the people who are eating up the biased media coverage (which is clearly against Kavanaugh) seem to be embracing the ironic fact that there ISN'T A SHRED OF EVIDENCE.

There's no evidence to prove Ford's claims.....

But there's equally no evidence to prove Kavanaugh ISN'T a gang rapist.

So people are just jumping on board with the opinion that Kavanaugh is unfit for the seat, because they don't want to "take that risk."

In other words: "Guilty until proven innocent" is their morality's default setting.

In other words: they are fucking idiots.
