Every girl in my immediate family games to one degree or another. My oldest sister favors platformers and has a heavy inclination towards Nintendo games in particular. My second sister is the best Tetris player I know (only NES version though, oddly; she refuses to play other versions). Great at racing games, too. My mom's something of an eclectic gamer. She really likes B movies and GTA, so one of her favorite games is, naturally, Destroy All Humans! lol. My younger sister and I are probably the biggest gamers though.

Papa plays games, too. Big fan of SRPGs like my mom, and I believe his wife and her daughters play games too but I'm not too sure to what degree. I think his wife plays D2 ; she's mentioned that she likes D2 and not D3.

You don't get a choice between items and party members. You must sacrifice party members when you reach certain HP threshold against a boss. There have been people who have bypassed this by buffing the crap out of a single strike to obliterate the boss before reaching those thresholds. Also, if you choose to retreat from certain missions, you must leave a party member behind to die.

Dark Souls absolutely needs a pause button.

And I really like DS2, though the odd way movement works in that game is really inexcusable and makes precision difficult. Especially the DLC areas; those are great.

DS3 is actually my least favorite. I felt really railroaded compared to the other two and most of the areas and the story felt copy-pasted from other souls games. And yes, the recycled stuff was part of the point but it just made me feel really bored a lot of the time.

His church buys up as much commercial property in this city as they can not just to turn a tax-free profit but because they- I shit you not- want to take over the town so they can use the college to spread to other towns like a fucking plague. The reason I know that is because that's what he told my parents and many other people around his age when he was in school he intended to do to get rich, lol. People now avoid selling land to him so he gets members of his church to buy places instead to try and bypass opposition. They also run people for local government positions every election to try and secure their profits and control. People like him are all over the place and no, they do not love the confederate flag for cutesy rebel heritage state rights reasons.
