I 100%ed the original KH and KHII, although I've heard the Final Mix versions have a lot more in them

i didn't bother getting 100% in kh final mix but it isnt bad at all in ii. starting in critical mode gives you extra lucky lucky abilities to equip which trims down the time you'd spend grinding for materials by a lot.

melee was still a better party game due to brawl having bad items and stages.

Or you could use tactics to get past them. Dazzle and sleep will be your friends. MC using a shield will be a life saver. Your weaker party members on the 3rd and 4th slot. Chang accessories depending on the boss fight. Use Serena's hymns. Lots of stuff you can do to win without relying on RNG.

man fuck off. you're telling this to a guy who just said he beat the game on this mode and my party levels were around 47. that isn't happening without "using tactics". you aren't getting past some of these bosses without rng being in your favor unless you grind a bit. debuffs/status conditions are unreliable. ive had some fights start off with me missing over 5 of them in a row on a boss and others where i'd get them right away. debuffs seem to be 50/50 whereas status conditions are less than that on most bosses. the problem with the bosses in this mode is that they do enough damage to regularly kill characters if they focus on them for more than one of their turns. i've had fights start with a boss going first and straight up killing one or two characters. early-mid game this can happen with regular encounters as well. i'd rather not go into specifics because the tc literally just bought the game and it's a douche move to talk spoilers in a topic like this.

hows normal difficulty if one doesnt grind? i started with the stronger enemies setting and a lot of deaths are just complete bullshit. thinking about turning it off. i'll get into a battle with 2-3 enemies and sometimes they just use aoe attacks or focus one character and i'm just totally fucked because they do more damage than i can heal unless im constantly healing with both my party members. most encounters are like this.

btw i'm level 8 and i just beat the two grim gryphons.

What do you listen too? I am listening to audio books, but pod cast might work better.

generally just wrestling stuff. if you're into wrestling edge and christian have a good one. they're pretty funny and they seem to get all the big names on their show at one point or another. joe rogan can also be good depending on the guest. ive only listened to a bit of it but his podcast with neil degrasse tyson a week or so ago was pretty interesting.

ive tried some political podcasts but 30+ minutes of that is just too much.
