This is Bethesda were talking about here. They have a working formula and they stick with it. Overhyping, overrating, and even the overhating Starfield is getting doesn't make much sense.
I don't have any high expectations that the game will blow my mind or be some huge leap in quality from Beth's other games and I never did. I expected the usual decent sandbox power fantasy life game with meh design/gameplay, and from what I've seen on live streams of the game, it looks to be exactly that. Wouldn't expect any more or less from a Bethesda WRPG. Though I gotta say I'm not really liking the whole "1000 planets" idea thing. They're most definitely procedurally generated, and exploring barren, empty, randomized locations doesn't sound interesting to me at all. Game probably would've benefited from having a smaller handful of uniquely crafted planets. Like, you don't go to a Longhorn Steakhouse expecting Gordon Ramsay in the kitchen cooking you a beef wellington. You know what you're getting, and what you see is what you get. Everything else just looks to be worthless, stupid console fanboy shit flinging.
