Depression will do that to you TC. Believe me this feeling is common and I see this exact type of thread often over the years on PotD and I've personally experienced this ever since I was a teenager.
If you're lonely, chances are your human instinct is telling you that you need to be more social. Socializing is a human need as important as food and water that can't be satisfied with movies, books, or video games.
If you can't hang out with anyone IRL, I guess you could start an online game or something? Anything that has you talking with others.
The very fact you could have the motivation to create this thread, which involves interacting with others, but don't have that same motivation watching TV or playing games could say that you just have a social need that needs to be fulfilled.

Yeah but I'm specifically mentioning WRPGs for a reason.
I beat Bayonetta and DMC 1-4 on their hardest difficulties for example. Action games are an entirely different ballpark.

I'd say this is one of the only genres where the high difficulties literally just ruin the game. Dying over and over, trial and error, borderline impossible enemies. Then in games like Deus Ex you have to put all of your skill points in to combat skills or else you won't stand a chance, in a game where there is so much more creative, fun aspects than just combat and you can't even take advantage of them.
Wish there was no difficulty level options in these games so the devs don't make us feel like we suck at the game.
I would always start WRPGs on the highest, then I eventually give up and stop playing, but that stops starting now.
At least JRPGs have new game+ so you can usually replay the game on the highest and do well. That's something I wish WRPGs would do too.

I bought Katamari Damacy reroll a few days ago because it was on sale. It's a remaster of a PS2 game. It's a very funny, addictive game and it's good at cheering me up when I'm sad. You may have played it already tho since it was on PS2.
Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town is a remake of Harvest Moon Back To Nature on PS1/FoMT on GBA. I'd recommend that if you haven't played it already.

Huh?? I thought it was the opposite. I remember nothing but hate for them and Linkin Park back in the early 2000s but now look at Youtube comments and like/dislike ratio on their songs, nothing but nostalgia and praise.

The Switch version is fine. Many bugs were actually FIXED in the Switch version.
It would have to run good especially given the fact that the sequel is a Switch exclusive and the devs wouldn't want the first game to run like ass.
