I haven't invested much into either of these cases, but, from what I remember about the Zimmerman/Trayvon debate, the narrative about self-defense was the same as with Rittenhouse. The claims of feeling life was in danger, an altercation, etc. Regardless of whether you agree or disagree with the verdict, I don't think the two are necessarily contradicting each other. :/

Seems like a royal pain in the ass just to get it running like the game was supposed to.
One of those posts says you do have to literally downgrade a patch for the game.

and frankly the game was not very fun, the AI was a hack, that game was a 2003 DX9 tech demo. Of course I refuse to play games on easy so milage may vary.

See, from what I've read the game's AI wasn't always broken like that. People who played on XP machines back in the day have talked about this.
Again not sure if newer Windows OS did this or the patches Ubisoft put out broke the game's AI.
Seems like it was Ubisoft given the reviews comparison for re-releases and the original PC game.

I want to get original Far Cry working in 2021.
I've looked around and apparently even with fan-patches and such the game is still broken and ridiculously cheap/difficult.
Was it Ubisoft that broke the original Far Cry game with their own patches and made the enemies kill you through walls and such? That's the impression I get.

This is what I was thinking too.
People are all over the fact that he said "Well he's dead, so you always gotta be careful" as guilty, but that could just be the fact that he was in an uncomfortable situation and just awkward, so he probably meant something like "You have to be careful who you hang around with, thankfully he's dead so he can't harm anyone else".

I would personally say "maybe".
I mean, people think his awkward response automatically says guilty, but I think he might just be awkward, and that's just how awkward people react to uncomfortable questions sometimes.
