The secret to chicken is to make a mushroom pan sauce for it or if you don't want to go through that effort then you can use hot sauce or BBQ sauce.

A super lazy meal I make is hot sauce chicken. I cut up thighs (though you can do this with breasts easily enough, just it'll be more dry) into bite size bits and fry them with a small amount of oil, once they're done I throw in some peri peri hot sauce (goes well with chicken, there's a reason Nando's uses peri peri) and then serve it with rice.

It's one of my kids favourite meals which is nice because it's stupid easy and quick to make even after I've been working all day.

Not available in Canada which is annoying. Sure I could use a VPN to get past that but I would still have to cross the border to actually get the right bottles and that's too much work.

Battery life is the problem with the handhelds that are more powerful than the Steamdeck.

If I was to buy a PC handheld right now? I'd go OLED Steamdeck. As it stands though, currently I don't travel often enough to warrant it since I have a very capable PC already. When the Steamdeck 2 comes out? Well, might be a different story then, who knows since it seems that my work is having us travel more and more as the years go on.

What is above in TC's post? Very accurate for my parents. My kid? Her height and weight she seems to freely use both.

The older you are the more accurate that tends to be and the younger you are the less accurate that tends to be, at least in my experience.

The younger you are the more entrenched in the metric system you tend to be.

I find a general bit of advice isn't so much to aim for a specific level for the end boss but rather just figure out what equipment you want if you're having trouble and then go find the items and synth it. You'll level up some in the process, yes, but the real gain is the equipment.

The last boss in KH games isn't typically too tough.

I always thought Thunder was an all-purpose crowd clearer, but I kept being disappointed during my recent playthrough, even using Spellbinder and Lady Luck. Sure, once your magic is beefy enough, Thundaga will clear the room, but it's weak as hell during the main game and I think you only even get the final Thunder upgrade from the Hades Cup.

I did find myself using Gravity a lot more this time around though. It takes out a large chunk of HP from almost any regular enemy, it brings down flying guys, it stuns big boys long enough for you to get behind them to their weak spots, and it even has a little bit of AoE. The only problem is that it's frickin slow and a lot of heartless (especially flying ones) like to dart around.

It all depends on what point of the game you are at. The point TC references? You can have enough max MP for Thunder magic to be very powerful.

The solution to most things in KH1 is to pump up your MP (Max MP determines how powerful your magic is) and run into the middle of a large group of heartless and cast Thundaga and then laugh as everything goes *pop* into xp and gil.

Magic is OP in the first game if you know how to make use of it.

As a side note though that place must be really popular and doing well to have to book 6+ months out.

There's a place near me that does similar. A big part of why they book so far out is that they have very few tables and thus while they always sell out it's not like they are bringing in high volume.

I'm sure they do very well but probably not as well as you might think with how booked up they are (and literally the only way to go is to book a reservation).

Asmon himself is politically all over the place, very obvious he doesn't follow politics very closely at all and thus has really weird and stances which sometimes contradict each other.

His community on the other hand is just atrocious, most of the people who don't suck have left because of how bad it is.

Basically, Asmon is fine to watch if you feel like watching somebody somewhat entertaining play video games but when he's doing his react shit just go elsewhere since it's hard to predict if you're going to see something you'll agree with or see Asmon being super ignorant and dumb.

I'd say don't watch at all but the fact that his twitch he always streams on nowadays is not monetised means it's one of the few places on Twitch you can go without being bombarded with ads. Just wish he did less reacting and more gaming.

There is a difference between the state presuming somebody innocent until proven guilty and a bunch of nerds speculating on a message board. That difference being that our views on the case dont actually impact anybodys freedom.

Assuming that the police are lying on the basis that sometime police lie is illogical. We should be open to the possibility that the police have lied, because we know that can happen. We should also be open to the possibility that the person accused of committing a crime has lied, because we know that can happen.

I'm open to the possibility that the cops told the truth and I would like proof before I actually believe it. It's perfectly reasonable to have this position. Frankly after how often cops have been caught in lies it's a bit ridiculous to just believe them by default. They've long since lost that trust.

In universe it could work seeing as Abstergo fronts as a video game company. The custom characters could be explained as Abstergo Entertainment tailoring the player's avatar using collected DNA under the guise that it aids in immersion or whatever bullshit.

But then you lose the ability to have plot points based on characteristics of the character be it physical characteristics or personality based characteristics since people don't like their created characters behaving in a way that they don't expressly want them to. You end up having to make a very different kind of game if you have character creation.

In a few more years I'll also be married to such a woman.

The temperature of a bowl of water drops quickly depending on the environment, creating a prime environment for bacteria. Running water keeps the temperature consistent.

If you are just going to use the bowl don't forget to replace the water over time. Running water is just easier, leads to more consistent thawing and it's way quicker.

This is why I specified TC that you need a trickle of water going into the bowl.

Honestly, it's on me for not explaining the why of it considering TC is very clearly a novice in the kitchen. Good on you TC by the way for learning to cook, more people need to take that step.

TFA was fine, it was a good movie to set up a trilogy. The fact that NOTHING came of all the set up though makes it significantly worse. Basically, how good TFA would end up being depends greatly on how the rest of the trilogy went and well the rest was a god damn clown show.

Like the statement said, the officer began the process in the road, and the driver then pulled into the drive through (again, assuming the RCMP statement is true). And the violation was given for using the phone on the road, not in the drive through.

And like I said earlier, I'll believe it once they present proof beyond the cops word.

But if the statement is true, that's exactly what happened. Whether or not the teen was or was not using his phone prior to pulling into the drive thru is something the cop will now have to prove in court, should the teen plea not guilty (assuming the process in Canada is the same as the US).

The procedures of pulling an individual over for a traffic violation vary, but it's usually not a situation like you see in the movies where an officer will turn his lights the second he sees someone make a violation. They'll usually follow the vehicle and not turn their light on until they feel they're in an area where the person can safely pull over. This could have been one of those situations, as there really isn't a ton of information about exactly what happened.

Whether the stop was initiated on the road, like the RCMP statement claims, or if the officer's lights weren't turned on until the teen was in the drive-thru, that will be proven by dash cam footage, assuming they have it.

Who do you think the department gets their statement from? If they say the kid was being issued a ticket due to what he did on the road rather than the drive through then it's the cop who told the department that.

If you were in the drive through and that same kid rear ended you becasue he was on his phone and idle rolled into you bumper, I'm sure you'd be all "Well, the code does time out, so I understand. I wouldn't want you to lose your free meal, after all."

And if the cop had said that was the moment he decided to ticket the kid I'd be a hell of a lot more sympathetic since that's actually provable based on what the kid themselves said, however that's not why the cop gave the ticket according to the cop.

You need a bunch of gear for sous vide to be easy though.

You can get by with a Ziploc bag and a thermometer that you can clip on to a pot, it's really not a big deal for something with a cook time around an hour.

If you want to not have to do any monitoring then buying a sous vide wand is a good purchase and also opens you up to longer cook times and honestly will pay for itself if you cook stuff like roasts since you can buy cheap roasts but still make them super tender by doing a 24 hour cook time.

Generic create-a-character characters don't tend to work in a narrative driven game where the protagonist is a fleshed out character. Not sure why some people seem to think every game should have character creation.

I'd get complaining about say making a Japanese protagonist in AC: Valhalla because it just wouldn't make sense, it would be dumb. However this is a character based on a literal historical figure, the only reason to complain is racism.

No, sous vide isn't the same as boiling. You can get a similar effect from cooking confit but I personally am not a fan of letting my food soak in oil/fat.

Sous vide you put the chicken in a plastic bag, one that is designed for sous vide temperatures and is BPA free. You also want a vacuum in the bag. You get the water to the exact temp you want (in this case 145) and maintain that temperature for the entire cooking time. For a chicken breast 1 hour 15 min is probably enough depending on the thickness.

Of course once it's done you will want to take it out of the bag, dry it off and give it a quick sear in an extremely hot pan.

I always find chicken breasts too dry and meh when cooked by any method other than sous vide. Chicken thighs on the other hand, you can push them even past 165 and they're going to stay juicy and delicious and tender.

I don't see a problem with that localisation. It's not fundamentally changing the meaning and intent going on in that scene, it actually sounds more natural in English than what is written, gets the point across better. Also and this is very important, it's not injecting any modern slang or pop culture references that will make it start showing its age in a few years.

So yeah, don't see a problem. There's absolutely localisations that are bullshit and shouldn't be made, this scene? Not one of them.
