Thanks btw for putting me in a hardcore match, I've always wanted to post 50 times in a row in a topic with no repercussions. Kind of like how when I played youth soccer my coach pulled me, the starting goalie, out of the game for a shootout and I really wanted to see what it was like to be a goalie in a shootout. I really wanted to see what it'd be like to be in a HC match and now I do! Tom > youth soccer coach confirmed.

Speaking of work, happy Friday! Everyone hyped for the weekend? I will be playing in a rocket league tournament with digi and shad, team schwifty gonna win baby! (not really we usually win 2-3 games and then lose, but it's fun!)

Also the good thing about counting your own hardcore match is you have a general idea of when all your posts are all in a row! I should probably just start taking a running tally now but...eh, too much work. I'll just count it from scratch like last time. It's kinda fun to do that anyway, pretty suspenseful.

As I recall, the all caps thing was a one-off because I was playing through borderlands 2 and had met mr. torgue for the first time. I guess I just decided to make it my gimmick when I counted.

I don't think so because I've done story quests where it'll be like "use 6 shocking speed characters" and I did 5 + a friend with it and it didn't count it.

The issue here is that most people certainly seem to have read it as though what he wants is that second thing you listed, myself included. In my personal opinion, if you are going through the trouble of making it known you want to "hurt" someone, then the implication there is that you want to hurt them in a meaningful way; something that'll last. Stepping on a lego might hurt for a few seconds, then you're fine. Knocking a few teeth out of their mouth, on the other hand, would fit more in line with what I would think "hurting" someone means.

Your definition of "terrible people" is "people who disagree with me".

This is also important to distinguish, seph. If people actually think this, then maybe you should take steps to lay out what exactly makes someone terrible in your eyes. If it's "People like hitler who wanted to eradicate people" then that's not nearly as bad as "someone who's of the opposite political affiliation to me."

I doubt people have as much of a problem with "I want to do bad things to the terrible people of this world" as much as they do with your originally-worded post of "I want to do bad things to people I don't like." Because those are different things.

You do realize that the reason people are calling you disingenuous is because you're taking literally every chance you can to be sarcastic at the people you deem have wronged you? Like you getting so upset about people calling you out on your behavior provides all the motive you'd need to try and mislead people with the topic, so you can say "take that! Look at all these people who agree with me!". You can't even claim "I honestly didn't know that what I said could be taken a different way" anymore.

I said it is a normal human emotion to feel gratification after hurting someone you don't like. We all should have that threshold of who deserves actual physical harm.

I fail to see how what you said is any different from what he alleges you said. "Hurting someone you don't like" usually doesn't differentiate between "levels of dislike" I definitely read it that way and obviously so did many others. Just because you meant it a different way doesn't mean you automatically can't be at fault when someone, or in this case many people, understood a different meaning from it.
